| Several miles of easy to moderate self guided trails allow explorers to follow the river shoreline and meander from the marina to the swimming pool and into the wooded portian of the campground where one of the most intense concentrations of rare plant species in the Bluegrass region are on display. Sheltered beneath and incredible natural arbor of Beech and Yellow Poplar, Blue Ash, Chinquapin Ash, and Sugar Maple, lies abundance of exquiset botanical wonders such as Snow Trillium, (found exclusively in this area) Big Bluestem, Wild Oats, Riverbank Goldenrod, Saint John's Wort and tufted hairgrass. |
