| I think that people have some incorrect conceptions of Calcutta and India. 98 out of 100 are wrong to perceive it as a third world country where people die of hunger,there is nothing like that we are throwing millions of tons of grains in the sea coz it`s getting rotten without any takers,we are the I.T.brains of the world I am proud of our achievements in the field of I.T., of Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Terressa, the achievements after independence in 1947, our self reliance, the Indian military, our Democracy since 1947, our Freedom of expression, the Tajmahal, our Free press and Religious harmony . It is the religious harmony and respect for each other`s religion among all the world`s greatest religion that reside in India viz- Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Budhism, Jainism, Judaism, sikhism, and lots of others. India also has the second largest population and is the largest consistent democracy of the world. I am very proud of my country! |
