LCGB Custom Show - 26th May 2002

We were blessed with another Sunday run out to a local venue, which was also an LCGB signing on event.  2 in a month, what is going on, this only usually happens to Darlo SC !

So, a good turn out was what was needed to make the most of this.

Unfortunately, the weather was absolutely crap to say the least, I woke up on Sunday morning, took one look out the window, and thought, not gonna see many folk today !  I was gladly to be proved wrong.

I spoke with Dan, Steve and Bally, before setting off, who were all still keen, so it was looking good.

I arrived at The Leopard to find Stan and Ricky, and a few of their mates.  Stan informed me that Bally and Chris were on their way, to which they soon appeared and Deck and Bri followed soon after.  All wearing our pretty wet suits we got off as it started to rain, heading down the M18 and A1 to meet up with other members at Blyth.

Waiting at Blyth were Kinnock, Dan and Colyn.  Colyn had a passenger, his son Alex on pillion.

At this time the sun had come out and we decided to make the planned stop off at Clumber park for a pint.  See picture.

A quick half and then off again to Mansfield, Steve was there having ridden through on his own as he was running in, Trev was also there he had ridden down early, working on the doors.

The show was quite good I thought with some nice bikes on show.  The venue is quite good having plenty of room.  I had a word with Kev Walsh and gave him a copy of the club photo and a brief history write up about the Hunters, this along with Dan’s Armando’s write up will be in forthcoming editions of LCGB Jetset.

We all signed on and bagged another 520 points in the club championship.

We got off home after an hour pretty trouble free, Colyn had a heat seize on the A1, but got going again okay.

My carb started falling to bits, but I made it home okay, TV revving its arse off when I pulled the clutch in, too much air  !!
