Company “H” was consolidated 24 Oct. 1863 with Companies “E” and “K”.  Company officers at the regiment’s organization, 29 Nov. 1861, are as follows:

J. M. Hannah, Capt., age 45, Captured at Island No. 10, sent to Camp Chase, Ohio, then was transferred to Johnson's Island, 26 April 1862.  Sent to Vicksburg, Ms., 1 Sept. 1862 for exchange. Resigned 1 Oct. 1862 at Jackson, Ms. (John M. Hanna).
W. D. Haynes, 1st Lt., age 27, Captured at Island No. 10, sent to Camp Chase, Ohio, transferred to Johnson's Island.  Exchanged 1 Sept. 1862, Vicksburg, Ms. Elected captain at the regiments reorganization, 30 Sept. 1862.  His name was dropped from the muster rolls, 16 Nov. 1862.  His position was filled by J. T. Atkins.  In Tennesseans in the Civil War, Vol. 2, page 197, he is listed as being in Co.”C”.
W. L. Smith, 2nd Lt., age 29, Captured at Island No. 10, sent to Camp Chase, Ohio, transferred to Johnson's Island, 1 May 1862.  He was sent to Vicksburg, Ms. for exchange.  Resigned, 31 March 1865, to join a cavalry command being organized by a Major Baker. (William L. Smith).
John Anderson / J. R. Anderson, 3rd Lt., Discharged from service because of a physical disability at Island No. 10, 26 March 1862.  He was succeeded by J. B. Stewart. (J.  R. Anderson, Bvt. 2nd Lt.).
D. M. Lankford, lst Sgt., Captured at Island No. 10, sent to Camp Butler, Ill.  Exchanged 23 Sept. 1862, Vicksburg, Ms. Discharged at Jackson, Ms., 30 Sept. 1862, age 35.  D. M. Lankford is also listed as serving in Co. “E” of the 20th Tn. Cav., and was wounded.  Rennolds' History, page 221, wounded at Brice’s Cross Roads, Ms., served through the war.
J. M. McClintock, age 27, Elected 3rd Sgt., 21 Jan. 1862, then promoted to 2nd Sgt. Captured at Island No. 10, sent to Camp Butler, Ill.  Exchanged 23 Sept. 1862, Vicksburg, Ms. He was promoted to 1st Lt., 30 Sept. 1862.  In his files at the National Archives is a letter written by J. M. McClintock, stating that he later joined a guerrilla unit.  He lived in Carroll Co., Tn. (James M. McClintock).
T. J. Smith, 3rd Sgt., age 23, Discharged 29 March 1862 at Island No. 10, because of a disability.  Lived in Henry Co., Tn.  Listed in Rennolds' History, page 221, died at home.

Cav.  Rennolds' History, page 265, killed at Pulaski, Tn.  He was the son of Timothy and Elizabeth Barham of Henry Co., Tn.
Baxter, Joseph D., age 65, Joined the regiment 12 Feb. 1862 at Island No. 10.  Captured at Island No. 10, sent to Camp Butler, Ill.  Exchanged 23 Sept. 1862, Vicksburg, Ms. Discharged 30 Sept. 1862 at Jackson, Ms. because of a disability.  He was also overage.  Born in Lincoln Co., N. C., age 65 in 1863.  In the 1860 Weakley Co., Tn.  Census, he is listed as being age 60. (Occupation, house carpenter)

Stewart, J. B., Sgt., age 26, Captured at Island No. 10, sent to Camp Chase, Ohio, transferred to Johnson's Island, 1 May 1862. Exchanged 23 Sept. 1862.  Elected 3rd Lt., 5 April 1862 and was elected 2nd Lt., 30 Sept. 1862 at the regiments reorganization in Jackson, Ms. (J.  B. Steward/James B. Stewart/J.  B. Stuart).
Sullivan, A. N. P., He was on sick leave when the regiment was captured at Island No. 10.  His leave was given at Union City, Tn. 18 Jan. 1862.  Lived in Henry Co., Tn. (A. M. P. Sullivan is also filed with A. N. P. Sullivan at the National Archives).
Sullivan, E. P., age 19, Captured at Island No. 10, sent to Camp Butler, Ill.  He died while in prison, June 1862 and is buried inthe Confederate section of the National Cemetery, Springfield, Ill.  The Camp Butler Cemetery records has a P. Sullavan, grave # 534, company and regiment not given, buried in the Confederate section.  This man is probably E. P. Sullivan.
Sullivan, Thomas, age 16, Enlisted at Island No. 10, 21 Feb. - 2 Mar. 1862.  He died while in camp at Island No. 10, 2 April 1862. (T. F. Sullivan, National Archives).  Rennolds' History, page 224, Thomas F. Sullivan, died at Madrid Bend, Mo., April 1862.
Swihaguin, John, Cpl., Records show that he deserted 25 March 1862 at Island No. 10.  Lived in Carroll Co., Tn. (J. W. Swearingen, National Archives).

Vancleave, Henry, Enlisted 2 March 1862 at Island No. 10.  He was captured at Island No. 10, sent to Camp Butler, Ill.  Died 15 April 1862, while in prison.  Buried in the Confederate section of the National Cemetery, grave # 186, Springfield, Ill.  He is listed as H. Wren is listed as being buried there, no company or regiment listed.  It is the same man.
Wright, H. W., age 46, Captured at Island No. 10, sent to Camp Butler, Ill.  Exchanged 23 Sept. 1862.  He is reported as being discharged at Port Hudson, La., April of 1863, reason not given. Rennolds' History, page 224, Henry W. Wright, discharged because he was overage.
