The Censer

The censer is where the incense are burnt. This could be an ornate metal hanging censer, a statue, a wooden incense holder or even a bowl of salt or sand. The censer is present in every ritual as all spells can be done with incense burning. The smoke from the censer is used to create the circle, purify areas and items, exorcise spirits or evil from people, items or places or set the atmosphere for a ritual or spell.

Finding or Making a Censer

Finding a censer isn't hard check anywhere that sells incense. Even some supermarkets carry them. You can also find more complex ones (such as statues that hold the incense) at specialty stores. If you can't find a censer use a bowl full of salt or sand. The salt insulates the bowl so it won't crack and stick incense can be placed on end in it.
