The Broom

Also known as a Besom, the magick broom is often used to purify space before a circle is casted and is used in many water spells involving cleansing. It also historically has been used to protect the home by laying it by the door.

Finding or Making a Broom

Brooms are quite easy to make so there's no reason to buy one. Finding one not made of plastic is quite difficult. To make a ritual broom you need an ash staff, A bunch of bunch twigs, and two strips of willow. Soak the twigs in warm water to make them malable. Tie the twigs around the base of the ash staff about three inches from the end of the staff with the twigs ends even with the end of the staff. Pull the twigs back over the binding and tie again. the broom is done.
