Eagle, Spirit Keeper of the East
Spring mist stirs and stretches the dawn.
Father Sun gently wakes away the darkness from our eyes.
Our wings are spread, the air is cool and moist.
We reach out to you, feel our strength as we
Look upon the abundance of the Great Mother.
Come, keep our visions sharp and clear and
Fill us with the wisdom of knowing our true course.
We soar.
Coyote, Spirit Keeper of the South
Red hot summer sun.
We rest in the green shade of these twin oaks
Our noon day belly filled
Eyes open seeing nothing, and everything
Laughing, crying, trusting, we rest.
Come in gratitude and embrace us in the fullness of life.
Bear, Spirit Keeper of the West
The dark blues and blacks of the evening sky
Tell us that the Dream Time is approaching.
The great weight we have carried through this Autumn
Is only now ready to be set free.
We welcome the time to turn inwards
Into the dark where we can see ourselves.
Come, and see us as we wish to be.
White Buffalo, Spirit Keeper of the North.
Standing alone, stars sparkle in the snow at our feet.
Deep winter cold purifies hearts.
The chaff has blown away.
The essence of our truth shines crystal clear against the sharpwind.
Within the completion of this Circle
All become sacred.
Renewal lies within the Great Mother.
With patience and humility we await the return of the sun.
