Road Warrior
Hawk stares at Baron von Raschke in disbelief as Raschke
has become impervious to Hawk's onslaught. Raschke goes on the offensive
and puts a side headlock on Hawk, who is about to push him
into the ropes. After a mid-ring collision knocks both men down,
Hawk crawls over to his corner and tags Animal. The referee chastises Animal
for choking Raschke in the corner. Animal had Irish-whipped Raschke into the
opposite corner, but when he tried a charging
shoulder-block, the Baron caught him with his boots. Raschke tagged The Crusher,
who bounded into the ring and staggered Animal with a punch
to the chops. The Crusher softened up Animal with thumbs to the
eyes and a knee to the stomach before applying his "Bolo
Punch" finisher. Crusher goes for the pin but
Hawk intervines in the nick of time, saving his team from a sure defeat. Crusher tagged to Raschke, who quickly captured the weakened Animal in his famous face-claw submission hold. Hawk again tried to interfere, but The Crusher slugged him, then went after the Road Warriors' manager, "Precious" Paul Ellering. As the ref tries to break up Crusher and Ellering, Hawk mounts the ropes and leaps, clotheslining von Raschke. He then placed his dazed partner on top of the Baron, who was unable to kick out. The new American Wrestling Association World's Tag Team Champions: The Road Warriors, Animal and Hawk, with their manager Precious Paul Ellering.
