After Blackwell got away from The Crusher by gouging his eyes, he retaliated by grabbing a metal folding chair and smashing it repeatedly over Crusher's shoulder.
Upon re-entering the ring, The Crusher punished Blackwell with stomps and face-splitters, and had the big man from Stone Mountain, Georgia begging for mercy.
The Crusher ignored Blackwell's pleas, however, and continued his onslaught, landing punch after punch to Blackwell's forehead.
Blackwell was far from finished, however. He managed to mount an offensive after Crusher telegraphed a back body drop, and twice knocked the Milwaukee favorite off his feet. Blackwell choked The Crusher against the ropes while referee Marty Miller tried to get him to break the illegal hold.
The Crusher rallied and again took the brawl outside the ring and far into the crowd. But when he tried to re-enter, he was attacked by Blackwell's manager, Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie.
Momentarily stunned by The Sheik's attack, The Crusher is pinned by Blackwell. The "Anything Goes" rules provided for pinfalls to count anywhere in the building, so even though Crusher is under the ropes, ref Miller has no choice but to call the pin.
Even as Blackwell's arm is raised in victory by the ref, the 450-pounder is still down on the mat. Meanwhile, The Crusher has already recovered and shouts to the crowd about the unjust outcome of the match.
The Crusher goes berserk and pummels Blackwell with a flurry of punches. When ref Marty Miller intervened, Crusher slugged him too, then followed Blackwell and Sheik back to the locker-room, where they engaged in further mayhem.
