"She is severely dehydrated, her blood pressure is dangerously low and the iron level in her blood is almost non existent. How long has she been like this?" The emergency room doctor asked AJ.
"She has been a bulimic for over 2 years but she had it under control, she has been under a lot of stress lately and I think it finally got to her. She will be alright won't she?" AJ asked nervously.
"Well we need to stabilize her blood pressure, we need to infuse high levels of iron into her blood stream and she needs to gain back the 37 pounds that she is underweight. She will be here for at least a month and then she will have to be admitted to an eating disorder clinic for therapy. That young lady is facing a long road"
"Can I see her?"
"Yes, but only for a few moments"
"Call Tim and the guys and tell them that Molly has been admitted to the hospital" AJ turned to Mike and instructed him.
"No problem AJ"
AJ walked into the room and grimaced when he saw the feeding tube that was down her throat, the blood pressure sleeve on her right arm and the IV bag hanging from the pole beside her bed. "Chipper?"
Molly opened her eyes tiredly and smiled "Hi Alex"
"Chipper you sure worked yourself over good, you are going to be here for at least a month." AJ held her cold hand as he looked at her.
Molly shivered "I know, the doctor told me, I need to get a hold of management, you need to call your mom and ask her to fly down and take over for me."
"Shhhh Chipper I can take care of that later, right now I am taking care of you" AJ felt her shiver and climbed into bed beside her and held her thin body in his arms. "Chipper why would you do this to yourself, why didn't you come to me for help?"
"Just hold me Alex, promise me you won't leave me, just hold me tight" Molly whispered as the warmth from AJ's body calmed her down and she closed her eyes and rested her head on his chest.
"I won't ever let you go again Chipper. That I promise you"

"My girlfriend...Molly Timmons, she was admitted tonight...where is she?" Howie ran into the emergency lobby , followed by Kevin and Nick.
"She is sleeping and cannot be disturbed, I will get the doctor on duty and let him explain."
Howie paced nervously waiting for the doctor. "I have been such a prick, I did this to her, I wouldn't believe her, she was reaching out to me and I pushed her further..shit" Howie said aloud.
"D don't talk like that, we all saw what she was doing and none of us did anything, she pushed us all away" Nick slung his arm around Howie's shoulder.
"Yes but you aren't the man who is supposed to love her, you are not the one who holds her thin body at night and says nothing to her. I saw her getting thinner and I never said anything." Howie's eyes welled with tears.
"Mr. Dorough?" The doctor's voice brought Howie back to the present.
"How is she?"
"Well like I told her friend who brought her in, that young lady is very lucky that her heart didn't stop. Her blood pressure is extremely low, she has no iron in her blood and she is dangerously underweight and dehydrated. She has pushed her body past it's limit and it is slowly rebelling, it is shutting down and there is nothing we can do but try to get her strength back so she can fight"
"Can we see her?" Kevin asked.
"Not until tomorrow I am afraid. We have given her a feeding tube that is infusing high levels of vitamins and protein into her body. She needs her rest."
"Well I am not leaving, I am staying here until she wakes up" Howie sat down on the couch and buried his face in his hands "I promised her that I would never hurt her again and look what I have done, my god I almost killed her"
Kevin looked at Nick and the two tried to comfort their friend.

"She is in for a long recovery, Denise is taking over the tour and management is releasing a statement. God, Skylar we should never have let this go so far" Kevin talked quietly to his fiancee in the hospital waiting room. Howie had refused to leave so the guys had decided to settle in for the evening with him.
"Did anyone call her family?" Skylar asked.
"Yes, her mother is flying in tomorrow, she is really worried about her"
"How is D?"
"Bad, beating himself up over this. He is blaming himself"
"As he should be. How could a man who is supposedly so in love with her, let her get that bad, how could he push her to do that?" Skylar's voice was filled with disgust as she talked about Howie.
"Baby that is a bit harsh; we all turned a blind eye, she is a grown woman, she knows how to live her life"
"There is a difference though, you all are not dating her, Howie is and he should have done everything in his power to get that girl help."
" Well all I can do is help him get through this in one piece. He is pissed that AJ is in there sleeping with her instead of him"
"Well if he had of been with her and not his friends then he would be able to be with her, but it was AJ who found her and brought her to the hospital. Howie should be down on his hands and knees thanking AJ for caring about her, he should be thanking AJ for doing the job that he should have been doing" Skylar grew flustered as she spoke about Howie.
"Baby calm down, don't get upset, it isn't good for Peanut or for you..I love you, now get some sleep" Kevin closed his cell phone and looked at Howie. He was staring out the window mumbling. Kevin walked over and put his hands on Howie's shoulder.
"You okay D?"
"I am praying, praying that Molly will forgive me once more. Why is it that with me she always has to forgive me, all she wanted was to be loved and I almost killed her. It's a sign, it's a sign that I don't deserve someone that beautiful and so kind. God delivered her to me and I tried to push her away." Howie's vice broke and Kevin hugged him.

AJ shifted in the bed trying to stretch out his cramped legs. He tried to be subtle as not to wake Molly.
"You are up..you will have to leave now" The nurse walked in with a fresh IV bag.
"You don't understand, I promised her that I wouldn't let go, that I would not leave her. I broke a promise to her once and I am not going to do it again" AJ whispered as he stroked Molly's hair.
The nurse smiled "She is lucky to have you as a boyfriend"
AJ frowned and said softly "I am her best friend and yes I care for her deeply"
"Honey I have never seen a best friend so devoted, that twinkle in your eyes and the look of love that is painted on your face is a sure give away. You love this girl. Honey you have to tell her. I think she would be thrilled to know that such a caring man is in love with her" The nurse smiled and patted his hand.
"She has a boyfriend"
"She won't for long if you tell her your true feelings. Now I suggest you go back to sleep. As long as you are asleep the doctor won't move you, but if he sees you are awake he will make you leave" The nurse smiled gently and walked out of the room.
"I am going to make Molly fall in love with me..I am going to show her what
true love is all about" AJ rested his head on hers and closed his eyes.
