Kevin heard the group get off the elevator and walk towards their rooms. He opened his door and asked the group to come in.
"I guess you heard huh?" Nick said, seeing the knowing look on Kevin's face.
"Yes, she was really shaken up, she collapsed in my arms and she managed to get a couple of words out but other than that I am totally lost." Kevin said softly. "Howie, what happened?"
Howie swallowed deeply, "Well we were dancing and having a great time and then a song came on and she started to say something about me in high school and she took off, I have been trying to figure out she was, I have gone through all the people in my high school and her voice and her name does not ring a bell"
AJ cleared his throat "D, man people change, maybe that's why you don't recognize her"
"I am calling Angie and having her rush me down my yearbooks, I will figure out who she is, and why she has been keeping it from me." Howie's voice got louder.
"D calm down, I think we all should go to bed and get a good night's sleep. We have interviews tomorrow and Molly will cut our tent poles off if we are cranky for the interviews" Brian said with a laugh. The friends all seperated and went to their own rooms.
Howie walked quietly into his room and sat down in the chair that he placed in front of the window. He stretched his legs out and rested them on the window sill and looked out at the lights that seemed to flow to the sky. "Who she is? Why is she so mad at me?" Howie kept replaying the questions in his mind. He had to figure out who she was and why she was so intent on hiding her past from him.

AJ waited until everyone had gone into their rooms and he tiptoed down the hall and knocked softly on the door "Molly, Molly...Chipper...come on open up" AJ heard the click of the deadbolt and he walked into the darkened room. He made out the outline of the bed and eased himself onto it and felt his way to where Molly was "Hey Chipper, do you think you can turn the light on please?"
"No, I look horrible and besides I don't want you to see my face" Molly hid under the covers and started crying. She had woken up when she heard the guys come home and she had instictively run to the washroom and vomited. She knew that all the stress was not good for her and she was afraid that the stress would cause her to relapse.
"Molly, tell me you didn't throw up, tell me that you didn't resort back to doing the one thing you know that you can control, the one thing that can kill you...shit Molly.... you should have told him, you had the perfect opportunity" AJ crawled over to the edge of the bed where Molly was lying and gathered her into his arms and held her. Molly smiled when she felt AJ's arms around her "I got spooked, I saw his face and it scared me, so I ran...God I am a fool."
"Yes you are, you have waited your entire life to have Howie be nice to you, and now here he is kissing you and dancing with you and moping for you and you are shutting him out..God Chipper you have really gotten into a mess." AJ stroked her soft hair as he talked to her.
"Alex, I know...I know that these next couple of days are going to be hell until I figure out what to do but just for tonight can we forget about the mess I am in, can you just hold me and tell me everything is going to be alright" Molly whispered, reaching to touch AJ's hands.
"You got it Chipper, anything for you" AJ pulled her body in close to
his
and rested his head on her shoulder, drinking in the vanilla scent that
she
always seemed to smell of, and listened until her crying subsided. When
AJ
was sure that she was asleep he whispered aloud "Molly you might be in
a
situation but I assure you that I am in a worse one..how do I tell you
that
I am madly in love with you when I know that you are crazy about my
best
friend? Molly all I want is to protect you and love you, I thought I
could
do all that from afar but I can't hide my feelings, I have had many
women in
my arms but none ever felt as right as you do right now.....God
Chipper, I love you" AJ kissed her shoulder and closed his eyes.
