When Denise had quit laughing well enough to look over, she looked at the guys, then even at Liane. "Uh oh...maybe I shouldn't have mentioned 'strip' anything," she sighed, looking down at her outfit. "You all have TWICE as many pieces of clothing on than me..."
"And that's a problem?" Howie asked her innocently.
"YES!! Hell...it will only take me half the time as you guys to end up buck nekkid," she giggled.
"And that's a problem?" Howie repeated again, ducking to avoid a pillow coming across the room before walking over behind her and drapping his arms over her shoulders. "With any luck sweetheart, you'll be terrible at this...." he winked.
Denise smacked him and pouted playfully. "Just for that I should...I should....damn! Can't think of anything," she groaned as AJ laid out the board and began to set the game up.
"Here, have some more bubbly baby, help calm those nerves," Howie handed her the glass and again his eyes settled on her legs as AJ explained how they would play the game.
"Colored squares are no problem, play as normal. But if you draw a card with a piece of candy, off comes some thread," he clapped gleefully at the thought.
"You two.....just wait..." Liane threatened.
Liane kept laughing as they set up the board. "I haven't played this since I was about five!" she said
"Well, babygirl, it's high time you did then."
Liane mentally took inventory of her clothes... shoes, tights, skirt, leotard, underwear... not all that much more than Denise.
"You first." said AJ to Howie. Howie grinned and picked a card.
"Blue" he announced smugly, moving his little purple gingerbread man to a blue square.
"No fair!" said Denise.
"Anyone want some more champagne?" said Howie getting up to get the bottle.
"I'd better..." replied Liane. She picked up a card. "Gumdrops." Sheesh. She took off a shoe. AJ gave her a disappointed look. "Well, what did you expect?" she laughed.
Denise held her breath as she reached over and picked a card. "Come on baby....be some candy," she heard Howie chant beside her.
"Oh stop it!" she laughed. Slowly she turned the card over...a blue square. "Thank you jesus," she giggled, turning to stick her tongue out at Howie as she moved her gingerbread man.
"Hey...don't stick that thing out unless you plan to use it," he winked to her, instantly sending a flush through her cheeks again. "You're so cute when you're embarrassed," he laughed.
"Ok romeo, you think you're so funny....hush up and let AJ pick a card," Denise swatted at him playfully. "And get me some more bubbly in the meantime..." she requested, adding a sweet 'please' at the end.
AJ reached out confidently and drew a card. "YES!!" he cackled, moving his gingerbread man to a red spot, sliding the deck of cards back to Howie. "Go for it my man."
Howie finished pouring more champagne for Denise and reached out for a card. He covered it with his hand and looked at it, hiding it from the others.
"Hey! No being sneaky...what did you get??" she demanded. She felt a huge grin curl the corner of her lips when she saw the lollipop on the card. "Oh yeah baybee," she sang. "Lose something handsome," she said cheekily to him.
Howie grinned and s-l-o-w-l-y took off his shirt causing both Denise and Liane's hearts to beat faster. Hey, now... this is getting interesting... thought Liane, feeling the bubbly and grinning at her friend across the table. It was her turn again. She picked two yellow squares and advanced with a smirk. AJ picked Queen Frostine and stripped off his shirt with a grin to match Howie's.
"Is it getting warm in here?" said Denise, fanning herself.
Your turn precious," said Howie, with a wink. Denise pulled a card... gingerbread man. With a chuckle and a shrug she pulled off her shirt. For a while the guys just stared at her. Li snapped her fingers in front of AJ's face "Hellooooooo? Anybody there?"
Denise laughed as Liane got AJ's attention away from her Victoria's Secretbra. "Sorry babe," he grinned, turning his attention back to Li. "I think we were expecting a shoe from her too," he whispered to Liane, sending shivers down her spine as his breath tickled her ear.
Howie couldn't take his eyes off Denise. "Damn lady," he murmured as he reached out, letting his finger slide along her shoulder, tracing the strap of her bra down to the silk material, barely brushing her cleavage.
Denise watched him intently. "A shirt for a shirt," she smiled sweetly. "I figured it was fair," she giggled.
"Does that mean if I lose my pants, you will too??" he asked somewhat urgently.
"That will be a bit hard seeing as how I'm wearing a skirt," she continued. "You're out of luck there!" she shook her head.
"You know what I mean!!!" he growled playfully, reaching over and tickling her now bare sides, reducing her into a giggling heap on the floor beneath him. He starred down at her smiling face and winked to her playfully. He wanted to kiss her so badly he could taste it, but it was also fun having the tension build between them. Just as quickly as he had floored her, he sat back up. "Ok, whose turn is it now?" he asked, leaving a very flustered Denise beside him.
"Ummmmm...." said Liane, "I've lost track."
"AJ..." said Denise, and, deciding that two could play those kind of games, so she leaned back in her seat and put her arms behind her head. Howie sucked in his breath, as did AJ.
Liane rolled her eyes. "AJ..." she said, waving a hand in front of his face.
"Oh, uh, yeah... damn, woman..." he said to Dee before taking a card. She grinned at him. It was a cupcake. "Yeah, it would be..." he took off his pants, leaving him in his boxers.
"Mmmmmmm..." Liane said subconsiously, then blushed.
"Your turn, librarian." said AJ, running a finger over her face and down her throat to her scoop neck.
Li swallowed and took a card "Green." she breathed, and AJ stomped his feet.
"Damn." Li grinned and moved her man.
"Your turn, D." said AJ. Howie took a card and looked at it, eyebrows raised.
"Feel overdressed?" whispered AJ to Liane.
"I do feel a bit warm..."
"Hmmmm..." AJ took her palm in his hand and planted a kiss in the middle of
it.
