"Baby what you are telling me is ridiculous, you cannot be serous" AJ held his head in his hands as molly told him what she had planned.
"Alex I cannot sit around and wait to die, I can't live like that. My whole life has been bad news and disapointments, if I do this then I can be in charge, I can say when and where and how. Please say you will help me. Alex I cannot do this on my own, you promised me that you would never leave me and I need you more at this moment then I have ever needed you" Molly looked at Alex and kissed his cheek "Baby I need you to do this for me"
Alex looked up at the woman he loved and with a heavy heart said "I will help you"

"Momma....Momma please stop crying, everything is going to be fine, we can get through this" Nick touched his mother's shoulder and tried to make her stop crying. He had found her in the boat house. She always went there when she needed to think.
"Nikolas your father and I have been living a lie and I cannot accept that or forgive that" Jane reached for her son and hugged him tightly. "I need you to go home and tell him that I am going to Gramma's for a couple of days to think. I know that this is a lot to ask but I need you and Kim Ann to look after the kids. I want your father to be left alone so that he can think what he wants to do. Please tell me you will take the kids"
"Momma Kim Ann and I will gladly look after the kids...though after two hours with the Carter kids she might pack up and run kicking and screaming back to Ottawa" Nick hugged his mother "I love you momma"
"Nicky I love you too"

"Mom I love you, yes I will talk to you soon, I love you with all my heart mom" AJ was crying as he talked to his mother. He hung up the phone and tucked the photo of her into his shirt and carried the tea into the bedroom where Molly was lying on the bed, scared. "Chipper you do not have to do this, we can spend the next couple of months doing everything we can, having as much fun as we can" AJ said softly as he climbed into bed and held her in his arms.
"No Alex I want to do this, thank you for doing this for me, you will never know how much it means to me to have you here, your face is the last thing I want to see, your arms are the last thing I want to feel around me and your voice singing to me is the last thing I want to hear before I leave this world" Molly kissed AJ deeply and rested her head on his chest "Okay baby I am ready" Molly looked around the room for the last time, she smiled at the framed picture of her and AJ at Mandy Moore's party, the picture of AJ proposing to her at the Grammy's and the group picture of her and the guys and the hootchies at the Grammys. She drank them all in and placed them in her mind so that she could be filled with happy memories as she closed her eyes.
AJ leaned over to pick up Panda and Molly held her as AJ handed her the tea. Her eyes widened as AJ said a prayer and walked around his room, touching trophies from little league, framed pictures and the grammy that sat on his bedside table. He lit the candles and crawled into bed with Molly. "Alex what are you doing?" she asked frightned.
"Chipper I cannot live without you, I cannot go on without you by my side, you are the reason I love and the reason I breathe. I made you a promise that I would never leave you alone and I am going to keep it. When you leave this world I am going to be with you, holding your hand and taking that journey together." AJ was crying as he realised what he had said.
"No Alex, you can't. You can't leave your mother, your friends, your fans..no you are too full of life to do this"
"Shhhh the last words I want to remember are not us fighting..I am doing this and no matter what you say I am not changing my mind. Now let's do this" AJ and Molly drank the tea and lay down on the bed wrapped in each other's arms. "Sing to me Alex..please"
AJ hugged her closer and closed his eyes as he started to sing " I will
remember you" and as Molly's body became limp his voice cracked and his last
note slipped from his tongue and then there was silence.
