"Momma I am so excited, where is daddy?" Molly was tugging at her mother's skirt and talking a mile a minute.
"Chill Molly chill" AJ said to his sister as he and Aiden played trucks on the floor of the airport.
"Chill..and where did you obtain such proper english Alexander James Carter?" Kim Ann bent down and scolded her son. "I raised you better then that"
"Daddy said it to Uncle Brian"
"Well just because your daddy is a fool who likes to sound foolish does not mean he wants his son to sound like him." Kim Ann stood up "Sometimes I swear Nick teaches him these things just to annoy me."
"Kim Ann you need to chill" Jessi grinned " They are kids, I swear to god they are going to be the only ones in grade one who talk like a 40 year old british professor."
"I just don't want them to sound like hoodlums. It is bad enough my boyfriend will not grow up and talk like a man"
"Ahem boyfriend, I think you meant fiancee" Skylar teased. "That reminds me girl you have not talked about the wedding in ages, my god you still refer to Nick as your boyfriend and Crissy says you have been avoiding the wedding stores and magazines like they were the plague. What is up with you?"
"Work is busy, the kids are keeping me running in circles and with Nick being away I just don't want to decide anything until he is there to be involved. Besides we have been boyfriend and girlfriend for over 5 years, it takes a lot to get used to start referring to him as my fiancee"
Denise shot a worried glance at Jessi and Skylar and turned her attention to the kids. "How about we all go get some ice cream with Auntie Denise" The 8 children all started to talk excitedly and followed their aunt.
"She is really incredible isn't she, I mean look at her, she is a pro with the kids and they love her" Jessi said, with a far away expression. She smiled when her two friends squeezed her arms.
"You will know soon enough Jessi, you and Howie will be parents in no time"

"Daddy I want to sit up front with you" AJ whined as Nick and Kim Ann struggled to get all of his luggage in the trunk and the twins settled into the backseat,.
"Buddy there will be plenty of time for you to sit in the front seat with me, let momma and I sit together okay" Nick kissed his son and shut the door.

"Who would have ever thought that the stylish Mr and Mrs Richardson would be driving a mini van." Kevin joked as he and Skylar and their children drove out of the airport parking lot.
"When you have as many kids as we do this is as stylish as it gets" Skylar laughed. "Hey Hannah why don't you tell your dad about scoring the winning basket in your game last night"
"It was nothing" Hannah mumbled, staring out the window.
"My daughter scored the game winner, of course it is something, come on princess tell me" Kevin looked at his daughter in the rearview mirror and winked at her. "Well I am waiting?"
Hannah glanced at the back of her mother's seat and made a face and then happily started to tell her father about the game. The glance at his wife did not go unnoticed by Kevin.

"So do we want to eat, sleep or make passionate love till the sun comes up?" Jessi asked her husband as they walked into the house.
"All of them appeal to me but only one appeals to all my senses" Howie grabbed his wife and pushed her up against the wall, losing his hands in her hair and losing himself in her kisses. He caught his breath and started into his wife's eyes, her usually brilliant eyes were dull and he knew that the appointment with the fertility specialist was weighing heavily on her mind. "Baby let's just for tonight forget about our problems and concentrate on ravaging each other" Howie whispered to his wife. His suggestion was greeted with an embrace and a deep and probing kiss.

"I can't believe how fast they fell asleep" Nick walked out of the twin's rooms and into his room, where Kim Ann was unpacking his luggage. "You don't have to do that right now" Nick took Kim Ann's hand and led her over to the oversized chaise that he had bought her the first time he had gone out on the road. He called it her comfort chair, for there were many a night he would find her curled up in it writing in her journal or just staring at him as he slept. He pulled her into his lap and kissed her "I am so happy to be home with my family" Nick brushed the hair out of her eyes and held her face in his hands. "Baby what's wrong? You have been so distant all day"
Kim Ann looked at her boyfriend and started to cry "Nicky I am pregnant"
Nick picked her up and swung her around in his arms "Oh my god, baby I love you, oh my god we have to call my mom, we have to wake up the twins and tell them" Nick ran down the hall to AJ and Molly's room and woke them up, carrying them both in his arms into his room.
"Hi my loves" Kim Ann sat on the floor and pulled Nick and the twins down to join her. She smiled as AJ nestled his head into her chest and she smelled the ivory soap that seemed to permeate from his pajamas. Molly was drifting off to sleep on Nick's shoulder so Kim Ann reached over and ran her fingers over her daughter's chin "Pooh you need to stay awake for this"
"Okay momma" Molly struggled to keep her eyes open.
"You know how much daddy and I love you both, and you know that no matter what we will always love you as much as we do right now" Kim Ann looked at Nick who was crying and nodded for him to take over.
"What Momma is trying to say is that you are going to have another brother or sister"
Molly and AJ looked at their mother and father and smiled.
"Neat Momma, nitey nite" Molly gave in to the heaviness of sleep and fell asleep on her father.
"Well that was more excitement then I am used to" Nick teased.
"Momma promise me it's a baby brother, I have a sister and she is alright but I want a brother to play pokeman and baseball with. Molly fusses when she loses and she can't throw a baseball"
"Well you had better talk to baby Jesus on that one buddy" Kim Ann carried her son into his room and tucked him in "I love you Alexander"
"I love you too momma, I will love you even more if I get a baby brother" Alex smiled and squirmed in his bed trying to get comfortable. Kim Ann was joined by Nick who had just put Molly into her bed and the two stood in the hallway between their children's doors and held each other.
"I can only pray that this child is as perfect as Molly and AJ are" Kim Ann kissed her husband and the two walked downstairs to call their parents.

"Kev I have to run to the office. I left one of the proposals on my desk and I need to fed ex it tonight."
"Sky I just got home can't you do it tomorrow" Kevin said as he kissed his wife.
"I promise I won't be longer than 30 minutes. Why don't you show the kids
what you brought them. I Love you" Skylar grabbed her jacket and got into
the car. She paused before driving off. "You have to end this Sky, it is not
fair to either one of them. Get it together and do what is right" she
reasoned with herself and drove off.
