Allie looked up from her mountain of law books and saw Nick walking towards her..She smiled and waved..
"I figured we could walk over together..I hope that was alright" Nick asked shyly
"Of course, let me just put these things back and then we can make the escape.." Allie laughed.
Nick sat and watched her as she went up to the counter to check out some books...He thought she was the prettiest girl he had seen, her smile lit up her whole face, the freckles that were sprinkled on her nose made her look young and innocent and her eyes twinkled... "Damn Carter, Howie is digging her....get your ass right.."
"Okay I am ready...let's get out of here.." Allie put her knapsack on and walked out the door..
"So Nick have you lived here all your life?"
"Well I have always lived in Florida, Tampa to be exact...you?"
"Actually we were born in Georgia but we moved when we were 4 so I don't have much memory of the south.."
"So what are you studying at school?" Nick asked
"Law...I am in my final year, when I am done I am taking over the family law firm.."
"Wow your parents must be so proud. I mean they must have been ..I mean" Nick felt really stupid for bringing up her parents when he knew she had just lost them..
"Don't worry about it, I know my dad is watching and he is guiding me...We're here" Allie smiled as Nick opened the door for her..
"Nick went to place their order while Alllie found a booth in a private corner away form all the rowdy high school kids..
Nick sat down and handed her her cappicino. "Thanks Nick."
"Allie can I ask you something, I mean you are older and you are a girl so you would know." Nick was blushing.
"I will try, what's up?"
"Well I was with my ex for over 2 years and last month she decided that she could not handle all the stress of being "Nick Carters' girlfriend" " I am always going to be Nick Carter, does that mean I am destined to be alone?"
Allie wanted to reach across and hug Nick, he was so down.
"Nick being the girlfriend of a famous and popular rock star is not easy, my god girls call them ugly names and throw things at them, she was probably sick of being scared to go out in public, she probably wanted a normal life..It takes a special person to be able to look past all the bullshit and concentrate on loving a person."
"How are you going to handle it with Howie?"
"Well I am just getting to know Howie, if we decided that we want to persue a relationship I guess I am going to have to concentrate on loving Howie and ignore what people say.."
"Howie is so lucky to have you, I wish you had a younger sister." Nick smiled..
Allie reached across the table and squeezed Nick's hand.

"Hmm there is the library that Allie is studying at, maybe I should buy her a coffee and take it to her, she probably needs one.." Howie pulled into Starbucks and parked his car.
He walked in and ordered 2 decaffinated coffees with milk and sugar on the side. He was waiting for them to be poured when he looked up and saw Allie sitting in the far corner holding Nick's hand.
"What the hell....I thought she was studying.." Howie was stunned...He paid for the coffees and walked over to the table.
Allie looked up and saw a frowning Howie standing over them with 2 coffees in his hand.
"Hey you, what a surprize"
"I bet, I thought you were stuck in the library studying all day?" Howie asked
" I was, but I ran into Nick this morning and I decided to meet up with him for a coffee break.." Allie smiled and slid over.."Jump in..there is plenty of room."
Howie's tension eased, Allie was not acting as if she was nervous that she had gotten caught.."Of course she isn't you idiot, Nick is like 5 years younger, she is just being her sweet self." Howie scolded himself.
"So D How did the track go?" Nick asked.
"Well I am going to head back, policy law is waiting for me, and besides you guys are starting to talk business and I hate business talk.." Allie smiled and kissed Nick's cheek..."I hope my sisterly advice helped...if you ever need another pep talk you know where to find me."
Nick smiled " thanks"
Allie bent down and kissed Howie's cheek and whispered " Call me later, I am excited about tonight..."
Howie smiled as he felt her warm breath in his ear..."I will pick you up at 5, and dress casual..."
"Okay bye.." Allie shouted over her shoulder.
"D she is awesome, you really lucked out.."
"I know Nick , I know" Howie smiled as he watched Allie run across the
street to the library
