Love in a Movie Theater

Chapter 7

Brian had taken the two of them to a beautiful gazebo covered in flowering vines. He had a table set up with a candle-light dinner for two. He had even gone as far as to have music playing. They were on a secluded section of the shore, where you couldn't see the ocean, but you could hear it enough to recognize it's presence was near. Julie guessed that it was a privately owned section because there was no one else in sight.

"Brian, where did you find this place?" Julie asked, astounded.

"It belongs to one of the record company executives. She's actually on a business trip, but she said I could use it anyways."

"It's absolutely beautiful here. It's so peaceful."

"Isn't it? I don't come here too often, but when I do, I always leave feeling very relaxed and content." Brian led her over to the table and scooted out her chair for her before sitting down in his own. He lifted up the covers of the dinner platters to reveal a pasta salad that had chicken and vegetables in it covered with some sort of vinigrete sauce. For dessert they had fresh fruit and some whipped cream over angel food cake.

"Brian, thanks for the dinner. It was delicious, but you didn't have to go to all this trouble."

"Yeah I did. It makes me happy making people happy. Just the look on your face right now is enough reason to do it again."

"You are the sweetest man I've ever met, you know that? Oh God, we sound so mushy!!" Brian and Julie laughed before he stood up and without saying a word, walked around the table and extended his hand. She took hold of it and he gently pulled her up out of her seat leading her away from the table assuring them enough room to dance. The song playing on the radio was "I Could Fall In Love" by Salena. He held her closely as she rested her head on his shoulder. He, in turn, rested his head on top of hers and was gently rubbing her back as they swayed to the rhythm of the song, then switching to the rthym of the next songs to come, for they stayed in that posistion for quite awhile not wanting to let go. Eventually, though, the sky clouded and it looked as though it might rain. Brian pulled away and suggested they get going before the storm hit. Julie helped him pack the things in the picnic basket, and Brian grabbed the radio. They were just pulling out onto the road when the rain started to fall, gently and slowly, but picking up in speed and force.

"Should I take you back to your house?" he asked.

"Well, I'm not quite ready for the night to end unless you need to leave. You can stop by and meet my family, but since they're back in town, I don't intend to spend my second date with you and my family!" Julie said, with a slight laugh.

"I completely understand that, believe me. When I lived at home, I hated bringing my dates over. I mean, my family was always very nice to them, it's just kinda embarassing to have to be there with your date, you know?"

"Yeah. I mean, I'm sure my parents, especially my mother, will just love you. I have to warn you that my sister is a big BSB fan, and she might recognize you."

"Oh that's all right. I don't mind meeting her. You said her name was Trinity?"

"Yup. We all call her Trine though. She seems to like it best."
