AJ and Shelly continued to kiss as it grew more passion filled by the second. Finally, they pulled away breathless. "Holy fucking shit, what did I just do?" Shelly said under her breath. "God, AJ, I'm so sorry!"
"Man...it's ok Shelly. It wasn't just you. I don't know how that happened."
"I'm supposed to be with Nick and you're supposed to be with Kate! What are we going to do? They're going to kill us!"
"Not if they don't find out. Look, I don't think the kiss meant anything. We just got ourselves caught up in the moment, ya know? We were like, bonding or something. As long as it didn't mean anything to you, we won't tell anyone. It'll just make matters worse."
"Are you sure? I feel so horrible though. I mean, we're going to be lying to all of our friends about this."
"Not really- they don't even know I'm with you. Look, I feel bad too but I think that if Kate and Nick find out, they're going to be even more hurt than they will be. What they don't know can't hurt them, right?"
"Whatever. I won't say anything if you won't." Shelly agreed.
"We should probably get going then. I'll just drop you off at Nick's house."
"Why don't you just let me out a few houses before his and I'll tell him I walked."
"Whatever you want to do." AJ agreed.
Julie could not believe her eyes when she saw AJ and Shelly kissing, but she didn't want them to know she had seen them. The last thing she wanted was to be the cause of another fight between AJ and Kate. She would pretend like she never saw it happen. When she saw that they were walking back to AJ's car, she waited until he had driven off before she left.
AJ pulled over a few houses down from Nick's. "I'm sorry about all this, Shelly." he said.
"Don't be. Things happen. Thanks for the ride, and for listening to me." and she climbed out of the car and walked towards Nick's. AJ waited until she was to his house safely before he turned around and drove home, thinking about what a wierd night it had been.
Julie walked back to her apartment and was trying to decide if she
should
call Nick
or not when the phone rang. "Jules? It's Brian. I'm on my way home, I
just
wanted to let
you know that Shelly showed up at Nick's. She walked there from the
park, I
guess. Are
you home?"
"Yeah, I just got here." she answered, trying to decide if she
should say
anything
to Brian or not. She decided maybe she you try and talk to him when he
got
back.
