"Dammit! I can't belive I missed his call..." Skylar slammed down the phone after listening to Kevin's message. She called him back and left a message at the hotel. She sipped the steaming soup from the mug and took a bite of the hot and spicy italian bread that she had just bought. She sat cross legged on her over stuffed couch and reached for the remote. She flicked through the channels and stopped on Much Music as the VJ announced that the the boys's new video would be on after the commercial. Skylar settled in and waited.

Skylar wiped the tears from her eyes as the video ended. "That was the most heart wrenching video I have ever seen."
"I was brought to tears this evening over a music video. Kevin's part is so sad, the look on his face as he stares out the window and the way his father's profile is shown on the wall beside him is haunting. It brought me to thinking of all the times my father and I played catch and how he always made me laugh no matter how bad I felt. I find it strange that we both have lost the most important men in our lives, maybe it was in God's plan to help us heal together."

Kevin was lying awake when he felt a calm come over him, the wind that was blowing into his open window seemed to bring a message to him. He sat up in bed and reached for the phone. He realised that it was 3 am in Ottawa but something was telling him that she would be awake.
Skylar was curled up on her couch going over some files from work when the phone rang. She knew it was Kevin, about 20 minutes before she had been lying in bed thinking of him when a peacefullness came over her and she knew that he was thinking of her. She had gotten out of bed and started to work hoping that it would take her mind off of him.
"Hi baby," she said softly into the phone.
Kevin was startled "How did you know it was me?"
"Something just told me it was. How was the show tonight?"
"It was good. The fans were really into it and now that Nick is feeling better the energy is back. How come you aren't sleeping?"
"Kevin, I haven't had a decent night's sleep since Orlando," Skylar confessed.
"Me neither. Why don't you go back to bed and I will talk to you until you fall asleep."
Skylar picked up her cordless phone and crawled into bed, she and Kevin talked about Mikey and his sister and how the new addition to the shelter was coming. "Kev," Skylar interrupted "Sing to me, "
Kevin cleared his voice and started to sing Show me the Meaning and as he reached the end of the song he heard her sweet, even breathing and he knew she was asleep. "Goodnight my love"

”I have just gotten off the phone with her and I am already missing her.
I am
sitting here on the balcony and I am looking at the fans who are camped
out
below. So many of them want to be our soul mates but I wonder if they
knew
how difficult it was to love one of us, would they still want to try.
My
life is a complicated one, yes I am doing what I love the most, I have
more
money than I know what to do with and I have millions of fans who love
us
but the thing that I crave the most I am unsure of. I know that I have
met
the woman who the stars have sent to me, I know that I want her in my
arms
forever, but through all this I am not sure if she wants me. She talks
to me
with so much love and passion but yet she never shares her feelings
completly. All I want is for her to tell me that she loves me and that
I am
not wasting my heart and my love on her. I know it sounds petty but
although
I know she cares deeply for me, this unsure heart needs some
reassuring. It
is a constant theme in my journal entries and prayers but I need to
hear it.”
