"God she looked beautiful last night with her red cheeks, she was so cute all bundled up like a little child," Kevin had gone into town to buy bagels and croissants for breakfast. He had been walking back to the car when he saw a store selling t-shirts that said "I got kissed in Colorado" and he couldn't help but buy matching ones for himself and Skylar.
He pulled into the laneway of the cabin and smiled when he saw her outside trying to chop wood. He sat in the truck and tried not to laugh.
"Stupid wood, will you settle your ass down and stay on the block so I can chop your dumbass," Skylar was struggling with trying to get the log to rest on the chopping block, but it kept rolling off of it.
"Need some help?" Kevin asked, standing behind her.
"No, I thought I would stand outside all day screaming at the logs. It's all yours," Skylar handed the ax to Kevin and stood back as he swung the ax and chopped the log in two.
Skylar fell to the snow on her hands and knees and laughing said "My Hero...how can I ever repay you for saving my toes from freezing?"
Kevin laughed and held out his hand to help her up "Kiss me and that will be my thanks," Skylar lightly kissed the top of his nose and smiled. "Now hurry up and carry in that wood, it's freezing in there."

"Kevin that was a wonderful evening last night, thank you so much for a beautiful surprise," Skylar squeezed Kevin's hand that was gripping the steering wheel.
"Skylar, I love surprising you, the look on your face when you saw the candles lighting the rink is something I will always remember. So what would you like to do this morning?"
"Snowboarding....I have never snowboarded and I have been dying to try it"
"Me neither, let's do it" Kevin said enthusiastically as his eyes twinkled.

"Kevin are you sure you are ready to go down the Bone Rattler? I mean we just finished our lesson 20 minutes ago" Skylar said unsure.
"Ah how hard can it really beV? I mean we did all right in the lesson, come on," Kevin knudged her and they caught the lift up to the top of the Bone Rattler snow board hill. "I will go first. A kiss for good luck perhaps?" Kevin puckered his lips and laughed.
Skylar kissed him. "Don't get hurt, we still have 4 days left in our vacation and I have lots of plans, now go big boy," Skylar tapped his butt and watched as he manuvered down the hill. She saw him tighten and then try to swerve to avoid the jump that was in the middle of the run. She saw him flip and she gasped. "Kev, are you alright?!" Skylar kicked off her board and ran down the hill, to where Kevin was lying in the snow, holding his shoulder and moaning.
Skylar tried to move him but she was afraid to do more damage, so she smoothed the hair that was plastered to his head and spoke softly to him "Are you alright? Does it hurt?" Skylar sent a boarder back up the hill to get the patrol.
"It really hurts. I think I dislocated my shoulder.....shit" Kevin was grimacing and his complexion was white. "Dammit, management is going to freak, we go back on tour next week."
"Kevin Richardson, shut up about the tour, I am more worried about you."
Skylar kissed Kevin's forehead and helped him up as the ski patrol
brought a
stretcher down to them.
