My eyes found hers as I stared at her from under my hat. As we sang our tribute with Elton John I tried to keep a straight face and concentrate but it was close to impossible. Keavy loved Elton John and she was up out of her seat dancing to Philadelphia Freedom, her dress however was not the best to dance in and she was at that moment giving Will Smith and Eminem a very personal look of what was under her dress, the slits in her dress moving vicariously close to "no man but AJ land". I saw Nicky staring at her and kicked him under the piano and raised my eyebrows. He smiled sheepishly and continued singing.
It was safe to say that it was one performance I would not soon forget.

"Elton this is my fiancee Keavy O'Carroll, Keavy this Sir Elton John."
"Oh my god, excuse me if I am a bit tiddlewackled but I have listened to you forever, my mah and daddy used to have you on all the time in our house"
Elton laughed and kissed her cheek "Tiddlewackled, I thought I was the only one who used that expression. I hope you will be joining me at my after party"
"We will, thank you so much for taking the time to meet me Mr John" Keavy was visably flustered and I teased her after he was gone.
"Baby you sure are cute when you babble and stumble over your words"
"Aw Yank I saw you staring at Jennifer Lopez, tell me you wouldn't trip over yer tongue if she talked to you"
"Not a chance" I crossed my fingers behind my back and kissed her, a grin on my face.

The media was out in full force as we tried to get into Elton's party. The question they all wanted answered was when I had proposed and when was the wedding. I knew that our confession would end up in every teeny magazine and gossip coloumn and I was prepared. I wanted the whole world to know that I was getting married, I wanted to let them see my beautiful fiancee and to let them document our love for everyone to see.

The grammy I won this year is sitting on my kitchen table. I haven't
had a
chance to put it away yet. Truth be told I would give up all of my
awards to
have that one special night, 3 years ago, back again. We were so happy
that
night, glowing from the announcement of our engagement and the well
wishes
from the hundreds of fans, media and stars who were in attendance. It
was
one of the most precious moments in our love affair and I will never
forget
it. No award or international sucess means anything to me without my
Keavy,
my emerald beside me to share it with me. Keegan is up and pitching a
fit,
how Keavy would have loved to see how big he has gotten. I turn off my
computer and go prepare the bottle to give to him.
