"Baby, that was Nick, he wants to know if we want to spend the day with him on his boat" I kissed Keavy's bare shoulder, trying to wake her up.
"Can we? I mean you don't have anything planned?" she asked sleepily.
"No, all I had planned was to spend the day with you" I crawled back into bed and pulled her close to my body, her long hair fanned out against my chest and arms.
"Well ring him back and tell him we would love to. Yank...I forgot to buy a bathing suit before I came though"
"Well if it was just you and I would suggest that you didn't need one but since the little man is with us I think we will have to stop and pick one up." I smiled and kissed her hair "Can I pick it out for you?"
Keavy laughed and snuggled closer to me.

"Nicky you have a beautiful house, but tell me something, what the hell do you need such a big house for?" Keavy teased.
"My ex picked it out, after we broke up I loved it too much to get rid of it so I kept it. Now unless you have any more questions I think we have a date with the water"

"Keavy let me put some sunblock on you" I reached for the tube of #30 sunblock and warmed it in my palms before I applied it to her bare skin, so as the cold wouldn't shock her. "I know how fair your skin is and I don't want to be up all night tending to a lobster"
"My hero." Keavy batted her lashes at me and pulled me down for a kiss.
"Cough cough, single guy here" Nick pointed out with a laugh.
"Sorry buddy but you had better get used to it, I am addicted to this woman's lips" I winked and continued to apply the sunscreen.

Nick and I talked about the upcoming tour and as we talked I watched Keavy out of the corner of my eye. She was stretched out on the end of the boat, her red hair hanging over the edge, her eyes hidden behind dark glasses and a look of peacefullness on her face. The emerald green bikini was a wonderful contrast to her pale skin. We hadn't talked about the tour, she didn't even know that in less then 2 months I would be leaving.
We had spent the previous evening talking about what she wanted to do. She wanted to finish medical school, had she stayed in Ireland she would have been a doctor but because of the education and residency requirments here in the states she needed 3 more credits and a year of residency to complete school. She was going to meet with the dean of the medical school to arrange for her to start her last class and her residency. She had also fought me hard about working. She would not let me pay for her school, she would get a parttime job to subsidise her savings. She was so independant, stubborn, far different then any woman I had ever loved before.
She was so alive, filled with hope, dreams and most of all love.
