Materials
Crochet hook "G" and "D"
3 oz WW yarn (Main Color-MC)
Small amount of (Contrasting Color-CC) sport weight (For flowers)
1 3/4" button
PURSE BODY
WITH "G" and MC yarn
RND 1: (RS)Ch 23, DC in 3rd ch from hook and in each of the next 19 chs, 5dc in last ch. Working on other side of chain, 1DC in each loop across to last loop, 4 DC in last chain(loop)-(same space as the first DC was worked on this rnd) Join to FIRST DC not the beg ch 3. DO NOT TURN! (48 DC)
RND 2: CH 3 (counts as first post throughout-no matter if its Front or Back post that is to be repeated) FPDC around NEXT 2 DC, 3 BPDC. *3FPDC-3BPDC around. Join to CH 3.
RND 3: CH 3, BPDC around next 2 DC, FPDC around next 3 DC. *BPDC around next 3 DC. FPDC around next 3 DC. REP * around. JOIN to CH 3
RND 4: REP same as rnd 3
RND 5: CH 3, FPDC around next 2 DC. BPDC around next 3 dc, *FPDC around next 3 DC, BPDC around next 3 dc. REP * around. Join as before.
RND 6: REP rnd 5
REST OF BODY
Work RNDS 3-6 for pattern as high as you want. END on a rnd 3 or a rnd 6. Work straps
STRAPS
TURN (work from inside purse),st st in next 7 sts, *ch 48, sk 10 sts, join with sl st to next st. sl st in next 2 sts, turn. DC in each ch across strap. When you are to the end of the ch, sk next 2 sl sts, join dc to next sl st with sl st.
Sl st in next 10 sts. REP * again. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
FLOWERS (make 4)
WITH CC AND "D" HOOK, CH 5, join with sl st to form ring. *ch 2, 2 dc in ring, ch 2, sl st into ring. REP * for 5 petals, fasten off leaving tail for sewing.
Attatch flowers over where straps meet purese.
Optional button
Attatch yarn to middle underneath one of the straps, CH 10, sl st to where you began. WEAVE IN NEATLY and SNUG. Attatch button to other side of purse.
