Size=11"-13"/NEWBORN

Materials:

Small amount of worsted weight yarn

Size "7" knitting needles

Cast on 50 sts.

Work 2 rows garter stitch (knit each row)

Pattern Rows
Rows 1 and alt rows (WS): K3, Purl across to last st. K1.
Row 2: K1, * K2tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, sl 1, k1, psso, p1, k1, p1, Rep from * across to last st. k1.
Row 4: K1, * K2tog, k1, yo, k3, yo, k1, sl 1, k1, psso, p1, k1, p1, Rep from * across to last st. k1.
Row 6: K1, * k2tog, yo, k5, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, p1, k1, p1, Rep from * across to last st. k1.
Rep these six rows together until there is a total of 4 repeats

Next row 1: K1, *P2tog, P1. Rep * across to last st. K1
Next row 2: *K1, K2tog. Rep * across.
Next row 3: Rep "Next row 1". Cut yarn leaving long tail for sewing together.

Thread tail through rem loops with a crochet hook, pull together tight then sew up side seam.

For a girlier look, crochet a (ch 3, sl st in next st, ch 3, sl st in next st) repeated edging.
