Some questions and answers about this city:

What is the meaning behind the city seal?

How do you keep an exact count of the LEGO bricks?

Is it real?

Why place something like this on the Internet?

How do people react to this sort of stuff?

The address is too long to remember, are there any addresses that are easier to remember?

What is the meaning behind the city seal?

The city seal was designed with the intent of being the representative symbol for the LEGO City of Chris Fortier. Inside the seal are random sights and sounds of city, with the sights in color and the swashes of color surrounding the images representing the sound and the fact that there is much going on here. There are three dates on the seal, 1985, 1993, and 1998.

1985 was the date of the city's founding on a pool table in Poquoson, VA. For nearly 7 1/2 years, the city flourished at this location and was the talk of the neighborhood. In November 1992, the city began a 10-month moving process that would disrupt growth for a long time.

1993 was the date the city was placed at its current location, in the same city, different side of town. This is where the city began its setup in levels, which was when the Lucette Level was founded. Soon thereafter, the Antoine Level was named, but since the city was always elevated above the ground, it's founding is noted as 1985. Growth would begin again in 1995 and it would never turn back, growing from 10,000 bricks in 1993 to 20,000 bricks in 1998.

1998 is noted because it was a landmark year for the LEGO City of Chris Fortier. The number of bricks grew to 20,000+, ground was broken on the suburbs, the city at Harrisonburg was founded, and the city premiered on the Internet. The LEGO City of Chris Fortier also made Poquoson High School's newspaper and yearbook that year.

How do you keep an exact count of the LEGO bricks?

LEGO, Inc. has always been nice enough to print the number of bricks on the boxes of its toys up until 1999. I just added the numbers on the boxes every time I would get something new. These days they did away it, so now I count brick by brick. It is not like I get LEGO sets every day or every month in that matter. On August 24, 1999, the count was 24,507 bricks. I write that number down on a piece of paper so that I can remember it when adding up the new count every time I get a set.

Is it real?

Yes, it is real and it is amazing, even to me.

Why place something like this on the Internet?

This web site is meant to amaze, make people think, and help beginners surf the Internet. This site is everyone-oriented, from young children, to teenagers, to adults. From fanatics to LEGO-haters (if there are any?) this site has something for everyone, whether you want to look at the creations that have been made, or find an airline that has a good fare, go shopping, learn more about extreme sports, or meet some of my friends. This site is meant to give the Internet a good name, plain and simple.

How do people react to this sort of stuff?

Most of what I have received in e-mails has been positive (99%) and I do receive plenty of e-mail. To those I say, thank you for coming over and you are welcome to come back anytime you need anything. Thinking of something new, fresh, and interesting that you believe has to be here? E-mail me and I will look into your inquiry.

The address is too long to remember, are there any easier to remember?

Yes, http://www.chrisfortier.allhere.com will take you to the same place as the long and hard to remember Geocities address. Also, you can type in "Chris Fortier" into most search engines and get this as the number 1, 2, or 3 result. (With Yahoo, you have to click at "Go to Web Page Matches" to find this page as the number one result.

The LEGO City of Chris Fortier is the only LEGO City worldwide to have its own Eurosticker
