The Kitten's Meow |
by Hannah
Willow knocked on the door to Tara's room, hoping the girl was home. In a way she was just trying to do some damage control after last night. Even though they had talked about it, the whole thing at Lowell House could easily threaten their budding relationship. A relationship Willow was really enjoying. Kissing Tara was like, well like something she couldn't describe. The door soon opened and Tara stood there smiling. Perhaps there was no damage to control.
"Hey Willow."
"Well good Morning."
Willow walked into the room and sat on the bed. "I tried to ring you this morning, but there was no answer. The scoobies were having breakfast, I thought you might like to join us."
"Oh that would have been nice. But I was out. I had trouble sleeping last night, so I took a walk."
"Tara, if it's about that stuff at the frat party."
"No, well kinda. I just had some stuff on my mind. Plus we talked about that. You know what I said I didn't mean. You could never disgust me."
Tara gave Willow a half smile and took her hand.
"Are you sure? I mean what if I barfed all over your floor?" Willow tried to look sincere.
"I think your barf would be pretty."
"You're joking right?"
"Yes, silly. But I promise you, I like it when you touch my knee."
"Oh really? Do you like it when I do this?"
Willow lent forward and kissed Tara passionately. A few moments later they broke away.
"Oh I-I think I like that."
Willow kissed her again and began to move the two of them further back on the bed. She started to remove Tara's sweater.
"Willow, are you sure you're ready for this?"
"Completely. I really like being with you Tara, I love you. And after last night with Buffy and Riley and all those other party people with all their weird acting and.I'm babbling here. But yes, I am ready."
"Then let me be your tour guide into the world of sapphic love."
"Lead the way."
Tara lent over Willow and started unbuttoning her shirt. Then the phone rang.
"Leave it. If it's important they'll leave a message." Willow said imploringly.
"I can't, it might be important."
Tara reached for the phone and picked it up.
"Hello? Yes she's right here."
Willow took the phone, it was Giles.
"Sure I can be there in half an hour. No you weren't disturbing anything; we were just doing a couple spells. See you in a minute."
She turned to look at Tara who it seemed mirrored her disappointment.
"Go. I understand. But I'll see you tonight?"
"Definitely. We have to finish what we started."
She gave Tara a long, passionate kiss. So much so that she nearly didn't make it out the door.
That evening Tara turned up at Willow's twenty minutes before they'd arranged. It's safe to say she was excited and perhaps being a little impatient. She knocked and the door opened almost instantly.
"I've kinda been waiting for you. I hoped you would be early."
Tara was dragged in by her arm and pulled into the middle of the room.
"Hey, nice to see you too." Tara said jokingly.
"Sorry, was I bit eager there?"
"Perhaps a little. I mean I want you, it's not that, it's just I'd like to maybe talk a bit first."
"You're right, I went a bit Anya."
"It's was kinda scary."
"Sorry."
They sat on the edge of the bed holding hands.
"So did you have fun at Giles'?"
"No. He just wanted me to look some stuff up to do with this new book he got. It was okay, but I would rather have been with you. Buffy turned up for a while but then she left to see Riley. She's still all wrapped up in him."
"Oh."
"Oh what? What is it Tara?"
"I was just wondering when you were going to tell people about us."
Willow put her hand under Tara's chin and looked into her eyes.
"I promise you soon. It's a big thing and I want to tell Buffy first, y'know. Find some alone time and tell her. I'm not ashamed of you, truly I'm not. In fact I'm going to do it next week. I promise. Right now Buffy's all 'Riley, Riley, Riley', we hardly see each other, so there's not much hope."
"I understand. I'm just being silly."
"No you're not."
They sat in silence for a moment.
"So there's no chance of Buffy turning up here?" Tara asked.
"None what so ever. You think we've talked enough?"
"I think so."
Resuming what they had started that morning, Tara began to undo the buttons of Willow's shirt. Then they heard a key in the door. The two girls jumped apart and each picked up a book, trying to look like they were reading.
"I am never wearing this shirt again. Damn jinxed thing." Willow said under her breath.
Buffy walked in and smiled at Tara.
"Hey guys, I'm not disturbing you am I?"
"No, we were just doing." Willow was stuck for an excuse.
".Some spells." Tara finished.
"God you guys, that's all you do these days. There must be something in it I'm just not seeing."
"Quite possibly."
"Fair enough. Anyway, Riley had some commando stuff to attend to, cleaning guns or something, so I thought tonight could be a Scooby night."
"Oh, Buffy I." Willow gestured towards Tara.
"No Willow, you should go. I've monopolised enough of your time as it is. Spend some time with your friends, I really don't mind. We can continue this tomorrow."
"Really Tara, If."
"No. You should go. Or you'll friends will start to hate me for taking you away."
"Okay then. Sure Buff, let's go a'Bronzing. "
Willow gave Tara an appreciative smile as the blonde left. It's true Tara was disappointed, but she had an idea. She would have Willow if it took all the magic in the world. Her next stop was the library. There had to be some spell for keeping out unwanted visitors.
So here came another evening. Willow was once again standing outside Tara's door. Throughout the whole day she had been praying to every deity she could think of in an attempt not be disturbed this evening. She had waited for this long enough, been thwarted enough times, something had to finally go their way. Perhaps it was punishment for not telling Buffy about this thing with Tara. Perhaps that was just her being paranoid. She knocked and waited for Tara to open the door. When she did Willow entered without saying a word. The room, as always, looked enchanting. The light from the small bulbs that decorated the walls gave it a romantic feel, especially when she was in this mood.
"Well good evening."
"Same to you."
Tara lent towards Willow and simply kissed her on the cheek.
"Is that it?"
"Oh no my dear, that's just for starters."
The blonde walked over to the stereo and pressed play. The dulcet tones of 'Let's Get it on' filled the room.
"No Barry?" Willow asked.
"I'm much more of Marvin girl myself. This song never fails."
"You've used it before?"
"Perhaps." Tara said, almost playfully.
"I never saw you as the seducing type."
"Who says I'm seducing you?... Willow?"
"Yes?"
"How do you feel about pets?"
"Huh?"
"Nothing, just a random thought that popped into my head, we can talk about it tomorrow. We've got more pressing business to attend to."
"I hope we escape interruptions tonight."
"We will. I worked a little mojo. Everyone will be far too busy to interrupt us. "
The girls stood facing each other and Willow entwined her fingers in Tara's. She looked into her eyes and saw the lust that resided there. She let go of Tara's hands and placed her arms around the girl's waist. Instinctively they began to move rhythmically to the music.
"You want to dance now?" Tara said, raising an eyebrow.
"Well actually I can think of something much better we could be doing."
Willow raised her arms; Tara took the hint and slowly removed the girl's jumper. Marvin continued his posthumous serenade,
<Giving yourself to me can never be wrong, if the love is true. >
How right he was.
This is where we shall leave our lovely witches. After all they wanted privacy and no one can deny those two a request. Especially when they put on those pouty faces. You try. Plus with this rating I really can't show you anymore. Sorry.
