Ahhhhhh the memories! Those of us that grew up during the 50's & 60's can still remember it as though it were only yesterday!
Making chains out of gum wrappers...Hula Hoops...Playing Jacks...Mood Rings...PopBeads...Spoolies...Bell-Bottom Pants...Mini-Skirts...Madras Plaid. The memories of rushing home from school just to watch American Bandstand...remember, when dancing at the Armory was "really dancing" - but of course, we also had those crazy dances...the stroll, the twist, the monkey, the mashed potatoe, the pony...and that memorable day when I was in study hall when it came over the announcements that JFK had been shot...Friday night basketball and football games...and then being so excited about turning 18 and heading off to Faulisi's!!

Ron lives in Elmira, NY with his wife Terry (Bablo). They have two children, Patrick & Julia. Ron is currently Vice President at Chemung Canal Trust Company. (2005)


 

"Albie" currently lives in Montgomery, Pa. He is divorced and has 2 sons A.J. II, and Daniel. Al is an inspector of piston engine parts for small aircraft at Textron Lycoming. In his free time, Al is involved with the Loyal Order of Moose throughout Pa. and he finds it a very rewarding experience. He enjoys helping people and giving back to the community. (2000)

Linda is teaching gifted and talented students in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She loves teaching and specializes in advance math and literature. She has 3 wonderful daughters who have married wonderful men. They have blessed her with 5 grandchildren. (2000)

 Mike is currently living in Port Charlotte, Fl with his wife Phyllis. They have 3 children & 8 grandchildren. Mike enjoys living in Florida near his children and in his spare time he enjoys golf, traveling and family life. (2005)

Barbara (Black) Werts
Currently lives at Lamoka Lake, Bradford, NY with husband, Larry.  Barb has two children, three grandchildren, and three step-children.  She is employed as a planner/buyer for Gov't products at Dresser-Rand and is looking forward to retirement!  Barb enjoy fishing, reading, and entertaining.  Barb says, "As I look back, some of the fondest memories I have are the friendships acquired during my teenage years and the fun things we use to do.  I would love to hear from any of my former classmates!"

 Gale  is married and has 3 children: John , Michelle  and Eric. She also has two adorable grandsons and counts her blessings every day. She has retired from the work field (Admission Director at a local Nursing Home) and works a part-time job teaching Karate to 2-4 year olds. Her interests are golf, reading, teaching karate, and going to Keuka Lake as much as she can. (2005

Alan has been living in San Antonio Texas. He is a High School English Teacher. Alan is still single but has four adopted Hispanic sons - all grown now and on their own. He also has two beautiful grandchildren, Deandrea and Daniel - the joy of his life! Alan says that God Blessed him with his four sons and grandchildren and that they are very close. His hobbies/interests are his grandchildren, sons, Drum & Bugle Corps, Photographer/Writer for Drum Corps World Publication, adjudicator for the activity in Texas, and the success of his students.  Mary Jo married Daryl "Deke" Mattison (class of '64) in 1968.They have two children, Melanie  & Ryan. I am also the proud grandmother of 2 grandchildren. "Deke" and I have retired and are currently full-time RV'rs!! Yep, sold our home etc. and are proud owners of a 35 ft. Motor Home. After full-time RV'ing for 2 years, "Deke" decided to join the work force again & we are currently living in Naples, Fl, where he is an Elementary School Principal. Carol says, "ok briefly - 2 kids, 2 husbands, 2 grandchildren. Are duces wild? They're lucky for me! Career wise, I have been working for the YMCA in Corning & Westfield, MA. There's no sign of retirement for this fitness director! Personally speaking I have a handsome, wonderful husband, a caring, terrific son & daughter-in-law & 2 beautiful, talented granddaughters. I love doing community theater and we love to travel. Life is good. Lots of friends & a fun family!" (2005)

 Marie  is married and living in Pasadena, California. She enjoys family & work...volunteering in the museum field & traveling, which if given an opportunity, would be done more. Traveling has taken her to such places as Russia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Europe, Africa, Singapore and Cuba. She loves to travel! (2005)




JoAnn is living in Chicago, Illinois with her husband Peter. They have 2 children. JoAnn enjoys reading, aqua fitness, attending opera, theatre & symphony in her spare time. (2005)

Claudia lives in Corning, New York with her husband, Mike Tammaro (EHS Class of '65). They have 3 children & 4 grandchildren. "CB" spends time educating people about keeping their bodies healthy and volunteering at the Southern Tier Health Ministry.  In 1983 they became involved in starting Corning Christian Academy & Mike is still very active on the Board. Family is very important to them and they spend as much time as possible together. (2005)

Joyce lives in Wellsboro, Pa. with her husband Dale. They had one child. Joyce is a teacher aide for handicapped children (9-12 grade). She enjoys flowers,  Ham Radio (KA2VSR), & helping sick & elderly people. Joyce & Dale also enjoy doing public service through Amateur Radio Communications. (2005)


 

Gilbert Cushing

Gil is currently living in Murrells Inlet, SC with his wife, Joan (also a '65 classmate). They have 2 children & 4 grandchildren.  Gil is retired & was a Security Manager at Corning, Inc. He enjoys fishing, flying Cessna Aircraft & volunteering with assisting the elderly.. As for special memories, Gil says that moving into CPP East High School when it was a brand new facility was memorable. Also attending classes with Joan, who later became his partner in life!
