Anniversary Poem There was a worry that I had, When we were young and love was new When I had told you everything there was to tell, What would we do? What would we find to talk about With our lives so interwined That each of us already knew The workings of the other's mind? Well, fifty (OR enter number) years have come and gone, And I can giggle at my fears. For I have never shut my mouth And you have never closed your ears. So here we stand so proud and happy And think back to the past A secret grin begins for those, Who said "It will never last!"

Still Together
by Peggy Cameron King

Let me hold your hand, as we go downhill,
We've shared our strength, and we share it still,
It hasn't been easy to make the climb,
But the way was eased by your hand in mine.

Like the lake, our life, has had ripples too,
Ill health and worries, and payments due,
With happy pauses along the way,
A graduation, a raise in pay.

At the foot of the slope, we will stop and rest,
Look back if you wish, we've been truly blessed,
We've been spared the grief of being torn apart,
By death or divorce, or a broken heart.

The view ahead, is one of the best,
Just a little further, and then we can rest,
We move more slowly, but together still,
Let me hold your hand, as we go downhill.

Grow Old With Me
John Lennon

Grow old along with me,
the best is yet to come
when our time has come,
we will be as one.
God bless our love,
God bless our love.

Grow old along with me,
two branches of one tree.
face the setting sun
when the day is done.
God bless our love,
God bless our love.

Spending our lives together,
man and wife together,
world without end,
world without end,

Grow old along with me,
whatever fate decrees.
we will set it through
for our love is true
God bless our love,
God bless our love.
