Good job Tony Stewart for winning the Penzoil 400 Man, the only race I want to talk about is Saturday's Busch race - which Jeff WON! Awesome job in his last BGN race. He made $69,575 Saturday. Sunday is a different story. Jeff started 28th, and looked totally cool up to more than halfway. Then, all but 5 teams pitted on green, and right after that, there was a caution. So, Jeff (and many others) was stuck a lap down, and stayed that way till the end. He finished 7th, one lap down. ($83,725) He did his best, and I know that next weekend in Atlanta will be an awesome conclusion to this 2000 year - just to get ready for another Championship in 2001!!!! Also, GREAT JOB to Bobby Labonte and his team for winning the 2000 Championship!
My tribute to Kenny Irwin who lost his life at age 30 during pratice at the New Hampshire International Speedway on July 7, 2000. He, too, hit turn 3, his car flipped over, and caught on fire. He died of head injuries around 12:00.
My prayers are with his family.
My tribute to Adam Petty, who died at age 19 at the New Hampshire International Speedway. He was praticing for the Busch race the next day, when he hit turn 3 and spun out of control, then hit turn 4 head on. They had to cut the top of the car open to get him out. They took him to the hospital where he died of head trauma on May 12, 2000, shortly after 12:00.
My prayers are with the Petty family now and forever.
