Some of my favorite herbs...

Lavender

Cut lavender for drying when the flowers are in full bloom.
Dry flowers placed in little bowls will nicely scent a room.
It is used for headache & nervousness.
Lavender tea is fragrant & wonderful.
To make it : pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 teaspoon
of fresh flowers. Cover & let steep for 10 minutes.

Rosemary

Rosemary leaves are antiseptic & antioxidant.
Distilled flower water can be used as a soothing eyewash.
The leaves are also used in perfumes.
Rosemary essential oil stimulates circulation
& eases aching joints.

Thyme

Thyme is an antioxidant & antifungal.
It was used as a food
preservative. Thyme is wonderful in the kitchen,
herbal tea & for baths too.
It is also the plants in the garden that serves
as home to the garden fairies.
Due to its growing pattern, it can easily hide
small fairies houses. Its flowers are full of perfume.
No garden is complete without a patch of thyme
set aside for the fairies.

Sage

The leaf wine is tonic and aphrodisiac.
The leaves are insect-repellent & soothe insect bites.
An infusion helps digestion and is antibacterial.
Inhaling sage essential oil refreshes the mind.
In massage oils, it soothes nerves & relaxes tired muscles.

Marriage herbs

They are rosemary & lavender.
Lavender is for passion.
Rosemary is the herb of love, remembrance & fidelity.
Add some rosemary and lavender to the bride
bouquet and the groom's boutonniere.
Also put bunches of dried lavender under
the mattress for passion.
