Congrats to Kathy & her baby girl! The news is Kathy now has 6 tracks for her solo cd!

April 23rd 2002 This comes from Dephines.com, Dear Everyone: Thanks for all the great email messages we have been getting--it is so nice to know that people from all over the country are learning about the band and want us to come play their town. If only we could do a REAL tour, we would be there. However, some big changes are coming down, and it doesn't mean we won't be out playing, it is just going to be awhile. Like a year from now. In fact, there is a very REAL possibility that May 11 at 14 Below in Santa Monica will be the last show until, maybe next May. We will be busy, still working on the band...we are working on new songs now, and hopefully will have some new ones to play that night. We'll be recording a new record, and keeping you updated with new sound files on the site. So don't worry, we are not going anyplace!! (literally!) Who knows, maybe the new recordings will get us a record company's support so we CAN get out and play further away than our usual haunts. Now to get to the point of all this...as some of you know, I (Kathy) took a few weeks off to get married and go to Europe on a honeymoon. Well, turns out I am also going to have a baby. I have been keeping this news under wraps, just to be on the safe side, until I was past the first trimester. Pregnancy has in no way affected my love of being a musician, and I doubt parenthood will either--in fact I have been home playing more than ever since I have cut back on other activities. Neither me or the Delphines are retiring, I just want to make that clear!!! Dominique and Kristy both have some stuff lined up to keep them busy, but we will all make time to get our record done and out by the end of the year. I am thrilled at this turn of events and hope other women who sometimes doubt whether they will ever find the right person or get to have a family will be inspired by what has happened to me...I tell you, EVERYTHING can change, and everything can change quick too!! My wedding was without a doubt the happiest day of my life. Our very closest friends and family joined us at our home for the ceremony and for a reception afterwards. All of the Delphines and all of the Go-Go's were there. Two of the best moments for me were the toasts made by Jane and Dominique. The entire room was laughing, and I had tears of joy, it was so lovely and wonderful. And there's more news, on the Cosmic Speed front...our CD is available from our website, but I doubt we will be trying too hard to get distribution or to get it in stores, we are just ready to move on. Things didn't work out with Conspiracy--no hard feelings there, it just didn't go the way we hoped. The good news, is we own our record, can license it ourselves, or place songs as wish when any opportunities come our way. But some of those songs were recorded quite awhile ago, and as you know, the band has evolved and changed, and we are anxious to have product out that reflects us now. And, btw, eventually we will be offering T-shirts and other merch on the site, but this sort of promotional activity always ends up taking a backseat to the FUN part of being in a band--writing and making songs, and ROCKING as much as possible. So to wrap all this up, I hope you So. Cal. fans will try and make it for our May 11 show at 14 Below...we promise to play a great long set and try to pack in as many songs as we can. xxKathy

I met up with Kathy & The Delphines in September 2001 & asked Kathy about her solo cd & how it was going? She responded by telling me that she recorded a song with the help from Ace Frehley of Kiss. There are a total of 4 songs recorded. This is exciting news because we never really got a solo cd from Kathy. Delphines news is there will be a video done for Cosmic Speed soon. Also The Delphines are recording for a Holiday cd.
