This is an Orientation,
for New Free Men to Tyros, or Gor itself.
Its a guideline,
something to help you achieve success, and help you get along in Tyros
itself, on these pages, I will take the time to explain, and inform you
of things I expect done, and policies I expect followed, this way, you
will understand why I do the things I do, and how to handle certain situations,
in relation, call it a training guide.
1. If you
have a question, ask it, there is no such thing as a stupid question.
At times
you are going to have questions, there will be things you won't understand,
or may be different from what you are used to seeing, I do my best to explain
each situation, and explain why they are happening. To the Free, my Door
is always open, do not hesistate to talk to me, I do my best to help everyone
understand the why, when, where what and how in the Palace.
2. Remember,
I am Ubar, and as Ubar, I am the Law, my word is followed to the letter.
Ubar, Means
Champion, or Warlord, alot of times, I will issue commands, to question
a command, is to have your loyalty questioned, an Ubar doesn't have to
explain anything, most of the time I will do so, simply to try to help
you understand the reasoning behind it, but that doesn't mean you do not
have to follow the command.
3. Follow
the Chain of Command, when you first join, you are just a common warrior,
have respect for the Council of Tyros, for they are my trusted family,
and you must earn your trust, by showing that respect.
The Chain
of Command of the Palace, are those of whom have earned their trust by
their loyalty, if they are displaying the Council tag, or have a title
below their Name, they are Council, allow them to do their jobs, and understand
that when I am not present, they are in charge, look to them to lead, and
respect their decisions. The Council is much like a military platform,
The members page on the website shows that chain of command in succession.
4. READ the
webpages, take the time to learn of the Palace of Tyros, and its ways,
so you are not taken off guard.
Alot of
times, I have found, people asking why?? or Saying "I didn't know that",
when the answers to their questions were clearly defined on the webpages.
The way to know what is expected, and understand the role you play, is
by learning as much of your Home as you can, and understanding the roleplay
as it is happening. I ask that all free read the webpage, and familiarize
themselves with the rules and laws of Tyros, both the Palace Rules, and
the Codes of Conduct. This way, noone breaks a law, or unintentionally
gets themselves in a bind. As well, when events occur, that you are not
used to, you will understand why they are happening, and won't be taken
off guard by the unfamiliar to you, or something that you may not agree
with.
5. As a Free
Man, never ever get involved in squabbles between slaves, unless you are
directly involved, nor get involved in the affairs of other Free Men when
dealing with their personal slaves.
Many times,
you will see an arguement between slaves, perhaps a disagreement of terms,
or slaves who just plain do not like each other, the best policy for you,
is to understand, that the Free doesn't involve themselves in the affairs
of the slaves, thats what the kajira chain of command is for. So when slaves
argue, let them go, ignore them, unless your name is used, or the situation
involves you. Slave issues, are solved by the First and Second girls as
well the trainers, let them handle it.
As well,
when a Free man before you disciplines his personal slave, stay out of
it, all free men upon Gor, have the right to do with their slaves as they
see fit. Do not form opinion based on how he treats his slave, for the
slave is his property, and he may kill the slave if he chooses. Its not
your place, nor your right to intervene unless that free man looks to you
and asks your opinion, or what you would do in his situation. Its always
best, and Honorable, to remain neutral.
6. Spend
atleast 6 hours a week in the Palace, this helps with attendance, and helps
the roleplay continue, and be active.
As a Free
Man, you are going to want to own slaves, or a Free Companion, and enjoy
the roleplay, in order to do this.. Spend time in the Palace, let people
see you. 6 hours a week is all I require, even if the room is empty, the
appearance of someone in the room, draws others in, and you will see in
a time period, shortly afterward, that people will come in and roleplay
will pick up. Attendance is an important thing, because the more you are
seen, the more loyal you are considered to be.
7. Pay attention
to things, be open, and understanding of things as spoken in #1, ask if
you do not understand.
What I
mean by pay attention, is simple, the slaves train hard to do things the
correct way, and serve the Free. When they serve, read the serve, pay attention
to what they are doing, and pay attention to the situation going on in
the room, Raids can happen at anytime, whether you are a peasant, or a
Warrior, it doesn't matter, you must be prepared to defend the Palace at
all times.
You will
see often attitudes of visitors, and other Men from other places, remember
always to defend your Homestone, and do not allow others to treat the people
of Tyros poorly, unless that person of Tyros has committed a crime, at
which time, I will step in, and take care of the situation, or one of my
Council will. if you do not understand what is going on.. like I said..
ask.
8. Get a
Chateau Whisper membership if you can, I know this is a personal cost, but as I
have spoken many times, it helps show the owner of the website, your loyalty
to it, and support for our roleplay enviroment.
A Chateau Whisper
membership, provides many things, it saves your name so noone else on the
site may use it, it provides space on a Chateau Whisper webpage to store avatars
of your own, and it helps support the room.
Asaria
is our website owner, nothing says to her that the room is enjoyed more
than a membership to the site. So if you can, click on the Join button
on the entry page at the top, and get a membership to help support Chateau Whisper,
and the Palace of Tyros.
All Underlined items are procedures that must be followed exactly
1. Greeting
visitors
Often times,
you will see visitors come into the room as "visitor~o~" or with names
that are not appropriate to the Palace. On the entry page, it specifically
asked them to take a proper name. The way to handle these people is as
follows,(( a good idea would be to make a notepad on your desktop and
copy this and paste it so you always address them correctly))
1. select
their name on the pulldown
2. address
them EXACTLY like this states, the website admin has approved this way
of addressing them, please do not variate.
"Welcome
to The Palace of Tyros, please take a name and be greeted and welcomed"
3. Ask
them up to three times with atleast 3 minutes between posts.
4. If after
three attempts they do not take a proper name, tell them they are being
ignored, and in private whisper, tell the other Palace members to place
the visitor on ignore in config.
2. How to
ko-lar a slave correctly
Alot of
times, you will see slaves come in to the Palace with an observer sign.
There is a way to handle these, because sometimes they are experienced
slaves hiding, most times its a 50/50 chance, some will be players, some
will be honorable about it. So here's how you handle them.
1. select
their name on the pulldown
2. ask
them EXACTLY this: "Do you know of Gor?"
3. Wait
for their answer, if they do not answer, ask them again.
4. If they
answer they do, command them to your feet, if they beg to observe, tell
them no, and tell them this:"slaves on Gor do not shop for homes, they
are taken, and given homestones, they have no choice, no voice, no rights."
If after that they are still reluctant, then make the post moving to them,
grabbing them by the hair and quickly post "snapping a Palace ko-lar
around her/his throat", then command them to config, and add the {WPT}
to their name and remove the observer sign. DO NOT "ask" them.. command
it... you are Gorean, they must listen..and often times, slaves will test
you, to see if you are strong enough to be a Master.
5. If they
answer they do not, or speak of wishing to learn of Gor, select "WEBSITE"
on the location pull down(the one to the left of the two at the top
of the message box)) and select their name, and tell them this:" This
is Our website, please read it, and if you have any questions, ask the
Ubar, the Palace Second, or the first girl" If none of those are present,
give my email address to the new girl, and tell her to send her questions
to email, and I will answer her.my email is: Ubaroftyros@hotmail.com.
Other times,
you will see slaves come in with just a name in lower case, the way to
handle these girls, are simple as well. If they have no observer sign,
they are fair game to the ko-lar. The Palace of Tyros is a Forced ko-larring
zone, basically meaning, no choice, they have to accept it or leave.
how to
handle them:
(( a
good idea would be to make a notepad on your desktop and copy this and
paste it so you always perform this correctly))
1. Command
them to your feet.
2. Tell
them to assume ko-larring position-if they do not know the position, tell
them to kneel, legs together, arms raised above thier head wrists crossed
and their head bowed.
3. Once
in the position, tell her exactly this:"girl..repeat after me..this
girl, herewith submit myself, completely, totally and in all things to
him known as Dillinger Enocenti, Ubar of Tyros, as a Palace girl, a Slave,
a piece of his property to be done with as he see's fit."
4. Wait
for her to repeat it.
5. Once
she repeats it, make this post:*shows the girl a ko-lar made of Gold
with the Initials {WPT} upon it, forged from the strong forges of Tyros,
slips it around her neck, and snaps it shut with a loud CLICK!*
6. Then
finish by saying this:"girl, again repeat....this girl is YOURS Master
Ubar."
Once this
is done, if the first or second girl is present, send the new girl to them,
if not, go to these links to get the new girl oriented:
Kajira
welcome
Code
of Conduct
Sisterhood
verena's
welcome
3. Dealing
with people who are not following the entry pages or the laws of the Palace
Sometimes,
there will be people who enter the room, and are not following the laws
of the Palace, the best way to handle them.. is to quote the law From the
Palace Rules, the Code of Conduct, or the entry page. Most times, it will
be them entering with weapons.. if an when they do.. post the entry page
info.. they do not like it.. ask them to leave.
if they
refuse to leave...tell them you are getting a moderator if I am not present.
4. Posting
Duties for validation of your roleplay
Just as
the Slaves, the Free Must post atleast three duties a week, these are made
on the Palace Message Board, they must include your name, time stamps from
the room where the duty was roleplayed, and be Subjected as the Duty they
are, if you need the message Board password, ask me and I shall give it
to you.
5. Travelling
on Gor
Normally,
I would not endorse travelling, but if you do travel, lets take some realism
with it... its going to take atleast 4 days to get to the mainland, make
the roleplay realistic, use a boat, and roleplay out the course you are
sailing to get where you are going.. but also, let me know where you are
going ahead of time, this way..I'll know where you are..and when to expect
you back.
6. Learning
to fight
learning
to fight is important, there are open combat rules, and there are sparring
rules, all of them governed by the Palace of Tyros. It is my requirement,
that you as a Free Man, get in the sparring practice, and learn to fight. Remember, you will win, and lose as well, noone is perfect, and there is always someone better out there.. but you will never learn to fight, if you do not try.
7. Defending
the Dias
In events
that show a danger to me the Ubar, you are expected to place yourself between
that danger and me.. this is called defending the Dias, its also a show
of your Loyalty. When someone comes in, and makes a threat.. that I may
deem offensive.. its your place to stand and prevent the possibility of
that threat, unless I speak as to handle it. Defending the Dias, is the
same as defending your Home...you must keep others who would attempt to
defile it, from doing so, and being ready to fight in a moments notice.
8. Purchasing
a slave
There will
be slaves you want to own,I happen to know this, however the procedure
for purchasing them, is not very complicated, but if not followed to the
letter, may cost you the slave you want.
NEVER,
EVER, allow the slave you want, to know you want to own her, do not discuss
possessing her, do not tell her you are buying her. Complete secrecy must
be kept, because the ownership of a slave is only an affair of the Free.
To properly
purchase a slave, first you must email me at UbarofTyros@hotmail.com, then
tell me the name of the slave you wish to own, and offer a price for the
girl. Now.. your offering, must be realistic, so use this scale to judge
the value of a slave.
a whitesilk
virgin= unattainable and must be opened to be sold.
a greysilk
slave= also unattainable, must be in yellowsilks' to be sold.
yellowsilk
slave= worth anywhere between 20 silver and 1 gold.
redsilk
slave= worth 1 gold to 5 gold.
do not
bid 5 gold for a slave, unless you feel she is worth that much, and to
be honest, only senior kajira in my book are worth such a price.
9. Asking
to Court a Free Woman
Courting
and Free Companioning are facts of Gorean life, but also you must consider
a few things, and there are a few requirements to it. First, you must find
out, if she has living Family, for the leader of that living family is
the only person who can allow Courting, and possibly intending to Free
Companion. As well,be prepared to pay a Bride price, a Bride price, is
a price set by the leader of the family that you must meet in order to
allow that Free woman to become yours. In Tyros, the procedure is as follows:
if you
wish to Court, ask to approach the Dias, and aloud, in public, ask to Court
the Free Woman so all know your intention.
Remember
that only the Ubar, or the Palace Second may grant Courting and the intention
to FC in the Palace, as well perform the ceremonies.
10. Paying
a Furring price(having cyber sex with slaves)
Alot of
times, an owned slave will entice you, with the intention of furring, you
must understand, that they do this for a price that is set by their personal
Master, it is always best policy, that before you engage in furring the
girl, that you consult and pay the price to their Master, as it shows respect.
but that is if he is present, if not, be sure that before you take the
girl to a cylinder, that you make a post of paying the furring price, so
nothing can be disputed.
(( all
moneys paid in roleplay are done so by posting its not real money))
As well,
remember that slaves serve from their belly.. their bellies must burn with
desire, and in order to do so, they must be furred, and it is part of being
a Gorean Master, that you use these slaves for your pleasure.
11. Dealing
with insolence by slaves
When a
slave becomes insolent, or belligerent to you, the way to handle them is
simple.
Remember
you are the Gorean male, we rule the Planet of Gor, so do not hesitate
to cage them if they are personal slaves of another Master. if they are
palace slaves, you may discipline them as you see fit, with only the limitation
of killing. You may not kill the slave unless my permission is given, as
they are my property.
You must
be strong, do not feel sorry for the slave, for they will test you, they
will be insolent, just to see if you will be strong enough to handle them.
Never let a slave lead you, you lead them. if they are Mouthy, insolent
in any way towards you, deal with them, harshly.
12. Your
Rights as a Free Man.
Your rights
as a Free man, are many, and I will define them.
You have
the right to defend your Honor.
You have
the right to be spoken to respectfully by Free women.
You have
the right to discipline a slave when she is out of line.
You have
the right, to speak your Mind, without consequence of the words to any
female.
You have
the right to own your own slaves.
You have
the right to handle your slaves the way you see fit to as they are your
property.
You have
the right to bare your own weapons.
You have
the right to ko-lar slaves to the Palace of Tyros.
You have
the right, to deny slaves service.
You have
the right to allow your slaves to Travel.
You have
the right to be Addressed as Master.
You have
the right to take a Homestone.
You have
the right to Free Companion, and raise a family.
You have
the right to cage any slave when they have offended you.
You have
the right to ko-lar any Free Woman that attacks your Honor.
You have
a right to your Caste.
13. The Warrior
Codes
it is My
expectation, that no matter your Caste, that you read and learn the Warrior
Codes, as it defines a Free man's seriousness of his Honor and his word.
Warrior
Codes
14. Following
your Caste Rules
Your Caste,
no matter what it is, has rules that must be followed, and I expect them
followed to the letter, roleplay your Character accurately, and keep within
the rules of your Caste. This shows your Honor in Doing so.
15. Making
corrections to slaves who make mistakes
To make
Corrections to slaves who make mistakes, you must first learn that slaves
learn from their mistakes. So when a slave makes a mistake, first call
them to your feet, and ask them what they did wrong, see if they know it.
If they do, then tell them about the mistake, and tell them not to let
it happen again. If however, they are blatantly making the mistake just
to annoy someone, then its your right to cage them for the mistake, and
to have one of the Kajira Cadre deal with them, if the cadre is not present,
then give them an assigned chore, things such as washing boots, cleaning
barnacles off the ramships and such.
These are
some of my expectations and he way I want things done.
this will
help you with your success in Tyros.
remember
