Blaise Alexander was an up and coming driver out of Montoursville, PA. He ran in over 60 Busch Grand National races in his brief career, many coming last season while driving for SABCO Racing. Due to lack of sponsorship, the team closed at the end of the season. Blaise returned to the ARCA series, where he had experienced a bit more success. Blaise won a race in the series earlier in 2001, his third of his career, and was poised to take another win at Texas when he (#75) and Kerry Earnhardt tangled. Blaise was turned head-on into the wall. The picture at the left was taken moments before the fatal crash. |
