I'm not looking
for someone to talk to
I've got my
friend, I'm more than O.K.
I've got more
than a girl could wish for
I live my dreams
but it's not all they say
Still I believe
(I'm missing)
I'm missing
something real
I need someone
who really sees me...
(Don't wanna
wake...)
Don't wanna
wake up alone anymore
Still believing
you'll walk through my door
All I need
is to know it's for sure
Then I'll give...
all the love in the world
I've often wondered
if love's an illusion
Just to get
you through the loneliest days
I can't criticize
it
I have no hestitaion
My imagination
just stole me away
(Still...)
Still I believe
(I'm missing)
I'm missing something real
I need someone
who really sees me...
(Don't wanna
wake...)
Don't wanna
wake up alone anymore
Still believing
you'll walk through my door
All I need
is to know it's for sure
Then I'll give...
all the love in the world
Love's for a
lifetime not for a moment
So how could
I throw it away
Yeah I'm only
human
And nights
grow colder
With no-one
to love me that way
Yeah I need
someone who really sees me...
(Don't wanna
wake...)
And i won't
wake up alone anymore
Still believing
you'll walk through my door
You'll reach
for me and I'll know it's for sure
Then I'll give
all the love in the world
(Don't wanna
wake up alone anymore...) |

"This
is the third song with Mutt and it's different from the other two because
it's a ballad. I suppose I'm a romantic. It's saying love's precious and
not to be thrown away or taken lightly. I wrote it in the first person
for effect."

"It's
a love song and I can't pretend it's very profound.
It's tempting
someone to make the first move - come on and leave me breathless.
You know the
scene. The daylight is fading and nothing
matters but
the two people who are there.
It's tempting
that other person to move it along."

"This
one's for Mammy" By Nigel Williamson
"...'Breathless'
is a high impact song and certainly leaves me breathless when I sing it.
It's so hooky
that it was an obvious choice for the first single but it doesn't reflect
the
whole album
- there's quite a diverse selection of ssongs on it."

"Irrefutably
the most drop dead gorgeous combo on the planet.
And the sisters
aren't bad either. Crammed choca with milkie-whistling hooks,
'Breathless'
boasts a blissed out, sun dappled Belinda Carlisle
cruising-down-the-freeway-in-an-open-topped-T-bird
vibe.
Along with
Kyles 'Spinning Around', Moloko's 'The Time Is Now' and
Destiny's Child
'Say My Name', this equals summer pop perfection."

UK Singles
Chart Commentary from James Masterton
"...in
which our favourite family gathering move ever closer to their detined
role as globe-straddling superstars and sound just that little bit more
like Fleetwood Mac in the process. The Corrs' new album, the followup to
1998s biggest selling long player Forgiven Not Forgotten has actually been
in the can for the best part of a year by all accounts, its release held
over from last autumn to avoid it becoming swallowed by the Millennium
rush (that never actually materialised) and in order that all the pieces
can be in place to make this one of the biggest releases of the year. The
first single could hardly be any bigger, flying to the top of the chart
with almost consummate ease to give the Corrs their biggest ever hit single,
beating the Number 2 peak scaled by the remixed Runaway in February 1999.
Long term fans may bemoan the way they seem to be moving further and further
away from their original folk-based roots (indeed Breatheless features
Mutt 'Mr Shania Twain' Lange as a co-writer) but at the end of the day
this is a winning formula and you can bet it is going to be milked for
all it is worth. Just as long as they don't go-too-corporate, that is all."

The Corrs want
to see an end to internet piracy.
Chart-topping
band The Corrs have joined the international campaign to outlaw music piracy
on the internet.
The Irish quartet
have replaced Jean Michel Jarre as the official voice of the European music
industry as it battles to stop the illegal recording and downloading of
songs from the web.
The Corrs
"Most
people would not dream of stealing a CD from their local record store.
In the same way, we don't think it is cool to go cyber-shoplifting."

Unite Against Internet Piracy

The Corrs
Rock musicians
such as Robbie Williams, Boyzone and The Corrs
have signed a petition organised by Jean-Michel Jarre in an attempt to
persuade the European Parliament to act on the issue of copyright on the
internet. With the rise of MP3 allowing the downloading of cd quality music
Jarre said "It is time for the politicians of the European Parliament to
take a stand and ensure their upcoming review of copyright legislation
allows Europe's artists and musicians to sustain their success in the digital
era".
