Electric Fiero group

The original Electric Fiero group was Stephen Johnsen (owner), Ron Easley, Mike Maxfield, and me.  The project started in the university and moved beyond graduation.  And... oh yeah, I almost forgot the six clowns from the ME department who "designed" a drivetrain for us.  Except when it came time to cut metal it was quickly found lacking manufacturability and mechanical soundness.  But the computer model and presentations were great :)  I could mention a couple of other individuals - but as I recall they were more interested in scoring some pricey batteries and reselling them... so why bother.

So the four of us worked long nights getting into some peculiar situations at times (I still laugh out loud thinking of one) and finally had ourselves a drivetrain.  The plan was simple - 2 series wound 8" motors, a 2K Zilla and sea of lead acid.  Drop 800+ HP into that smidge of a car and light up the back end from zero to 100.  Scary right?  Ridiculous right?  Just might make some copper snot!  Gotta love it!

I'll post some group pics hopefully - don't have them right now.
