Contagion Black is a one-man project that plays a style described as Black Warring Doom metal. It is an ambitious piece of work that contains one song spanning over 32 minutes. The mood changes over the course of this epic from chaotic to creepy to futuristic in places, as the overall feeling reminds me of Satyricon's 'Rebel Extravaganza' release (in spirit, not musically). It really grows on you the more you hear it and it does not suffer from being tedious or boring, the music contained here actually flows together nicely. This cdr release is strictly limited to 50 copies with a rumor of another 50 with a different layout, so you better act fast if you want to obtain this original piece of hate inducing madness. Interested parties should get in contact with the band at this address cmgrymcraft@hotmail.com

TAKEN FROM CANADIAN ASSAULT ZINE
CONTAGION BLACK "S/T" Full Length Demo CDR 2003 One hymn running a 32 + minute gamut. The recording is lousy but when have you known me to care much about that, rawness rules (except when it has a high pitched hiss/white noise, which is present on here). As far as the music is concerned, it is simple one dimensional doomy warring nature of it is cancled out by the abundance of disgust and dark necro atmosphere, alongside is grim, epic riffing. Limited to 50 copies (mine is #07). Of note to myself the one man behind this band is from my old stomping grounds.7/10.  5319 38th st., Innisfail, Alberta, T4G 1G4, CANADA

COMMAND
TAKEN FROM MOURNING THE ANCIENT WEB ZINE
From 'the frozen wastelands of Canada' come this raw, slow and noisy black metal act. This CD-R release is limited to 50 copies and is about 32 minutes long, and only has one track, one long track, I might say, which is advised by the inlay to 'not ment to be listened to in songs or pieces'. And 'it must be endured from beginning to end'. Personally I liked Contagion Black's raw and primitive aura. If you also enjoy this style, you should give this a try, although my number is 35/50, so there are only 15 left.
