Star Trek and Anime Role Playing Game
Rules and Regulations
Rules
All right, here is a list of rules to go by when playing the Star Trek and Anime Role Playing game. If you do not follow these, I might have to boot you off the list. Either that or Tora will getcha... But that's a whole other story...
1) You must post at least once a week. We can't have people posting once a year and still have them in the game. Ya gotta keep the game moving. If you fail to post once a week, I'll give you one warning. If you fail to respond to that, off you go.
2) Also, each post must contain another character other than your own. You do want it to center
around your character, but it gives others something to do. Just make sure not to take them far away from where they were in the last post. Also, non-player characters are good too. Just be sure to write (NPC) after their name.
3) Any major plot changes must go through ME first. E-mail me about it and I'll send a yay or
a nay. Also, relationships must be worked out between members and by me before you start. With NPC's, they must be worked out with me but I'm pretty cool about anything like that.
4) Wait... There is no number four yet...

Regulations

(a.k.a. how to play)
There are a few simple guidelines I would like you to follow on each post. I mean, besides not hitting the reply function. If any of this seems confusing here, I have an example of the first post later on.
1) Make a subject using the current story title and the sub title for your post. Don't worry about
the "U.S.S. Orcum", Yahoo!Groups automatically does that for the subject.
2) Begin each story part of each post with "ON:", that way we know when you are beginning.
3) Put where you are at the top of the post after the "ON:" so we know where you are. When you move, do this as well.
4) Do not use quotation marks. The post should not be in story format. When someone is speaking, first put their name and then a colon. When someone is speaking over the intercom, put "+" around what they say. If telepathy is used, put "^" around their words. Actions go in between "*".
5) End each story part of each post with "OFF".
6) Have a signature at the end of each post.
Example Post
Subject: U.S.S. Orcum//And So It Starts.../Act One
Hi all!
Here is the first installation for the RPG. The format that I do should be the basis of y'alls' messages.
ON:
(U.S.S. Orcum, Bridge)
*The year is 2378. The Federation is barely recovering from a great war with their close neighbors, the Romulans. The Federation somehow defeated the Romulans, but at what cost? Starfleet's remains are one ship, the U.S.S. Orcum, and sparse officers, for example, Admirals Q and Hakubi. They are trying harsh recruiting tactics before another war breaks out, that would surely deem the end of the Federation. The Federation has just recently been made aware of Jurai and are waiting for the diplomatic channels to open. In the meantime, anyone can join
Starfleet. The intense testing that was used before is put on hold until they can fill out the ranks. On the Orcum, Admiral Q has taken command with Admiral Hakubi as her First Officer. Hakubi gives Q a report of recruits*
Q: I see. Not too many. This is disappointing. Kids used to dream to be in Starfleet. What
happened? It was that damned war... Ryoko-chyan, I want you to start drafting people. We need to have officers.
Hakubi: Hai! Connie, I was wondering... Uh... When can I leave Starfleet?
Q: *sweat drop* You flake. We absolutely NEED you right now! Now, go get those officers! I want
a full ship by next week. We'll have to train 'em here. It's not like we have enough officers to have the Academy right now. We're lucky to have senior officers!
Hakubi: Okay, okay!
Q: Go on. Feed yourself, ya bottomless pit. *Hakubi glares at Q* I'll see you at 0800 or are you going to be experimenting again? *Hakubi glares more* Just leave the Omega Molecule out of it this time!
Davidson (NPC): +Admiral Q?+
Q: *taps communicator* Q here. What is it Mr. Davidson?
Davidson: +Sir, I'm having a little trouble with the engines...+
Q: *impatiently* So fix it...
Davidson: +Sir, you didn't let me finish. *pause* There seems to be a creature in the warp drive.
It's disrupting the matter/antimatter conversion. I can't get the creature out...+
Q: *intrigued* What kind of creature?
Davidson: +I don't know, sir. It's nothing I've ever seen...+
Q: Ryoko, I want you to go check it out. But I'm coming with you.
*Hakubi nods and they both head for the turbolift*
Q: Deck 17.
(Engineering)
Davidson: Sirs. It's over here.
*Hakubi scans it with a tricorder and than a scanning device of her own creation. Shakes her head
in annoyance*
Q: What is it?
Hakubi: I... *pause* don't know. *Q face faults*
*at that moment, the little creature bounds out of the engines. It jumps around a bit before a being enters the room. She's a little girl with a giant mallet. She chases the creature around with the mallet before finally whacking it ad it disappears. Everyone in engineering is staring at the newcomer. She notices everyone staring at her and puts her hand behind her head and nervously laughs*
Skuld: What is everyone staring at?
Q: *with sweat drop* Hi. I'm Connie.
(back on the bridge, the next day)
Q: *looks very annoyed, taps communicator* Q to Hakubi.
Hakubi: *nervously* +Yes Admiral?+
Q: Where are you supposed to be right now?
Hakubi: +Uh... On the Bridge...+
Q: And where are you?
Hakubi: +On the turbolift...+
Q: Good. *turbolift doors open and out walks Hakubi* took your time getting here. You're thirty
minutes late today...
Hakubi: Sorry... I have a few new recruits today...
Q: How many?
Hakubi: Three. They are D'Aanna, a Bajoran; Touji Suzuhara, a human; and Tora, she claims she is
a Mercenary.
Q: Tora? We have someone named "Tiger"?
Hakubi: Yes. So what?
Q: Nothing. Never mind. Are they coming to the ship or do we have to pick them up?
Hakubi: They are waiting for us at the remains of Deep Space Nine.
Q: I'm surprised DS9 is still around. But of course, there isn't much left to it. But hey, it's better than all the other stations. All right. Helm. Turn her around. We are going to DS9, warp seven.
Decker (NPC): Aye, Sir.
Q: So, now we have four new people on the ship. We're starting to fill up! *wink, victory*
OFF
Okay, this is the first installation of the RPG. I'm leaving it to y'all to add on. I included all of you in this, so I'm expecting something from you! Tee, hee! Here we go!
