Detailed Description:
Osborne shoals is part of the reef that runs between Jibbon Head and the southern side of Kurnell Peninsula. The shoal is generally flat on top and is covered by a thick growth of kelp. The top of the shoal is at about 12m and has several cracks and gullies that travel in a north-south direction.
To the north, the shoal has a sudden drop to a sandy bottom at around 20m. Following the wall, which basically is in a east-west direction, there are several undercuts and small caves.
This site is easy to navigate, all that you have to do is follow the wall either to the west or the east and return by following the wall in the opposite direction. The shoal also makes an excellent night dive.
