Bees travelled to Cardiff on New Year's Eve, and saw in the New Year in style, with their first ever league win at the Furnace. Chris Brant and Paxton Schulte both got a brace of goals, whilst on-loan keeper Richard Gallace got a shut-out, to see Bracknell win 4-0.

Bees beat the Sheffield Steelers tonight, 5-4 at the Hive. The victory was hard-fought, and several times Bracknell had to pull back a defecit before finally going ahead. Bracknell took an early lead to the game, when Dale Junkin scored in the third minute, but first period goals by Sheffield's Teeder Wynne and Tony Hand left them 2-1 up at the first break. Chris Brant pulled one back, only for Teeder Wynne to put Steelers back in the lead. However, a second goal from Dale Junkin saw the teams enter the second break level. Ed Courtnay gave Sheffield the lead once again, but Sal Manganaro pulled Bracknel level again and then Paxton Schulte hit the game winner, with his first league goal of the season. On-loan keeper, Richard Gallace, faced 27 shots.

Bracknell have a goalie crisis for sunday's game against the Steelers. Brian Greer is definately ruled out with a groin strain, and as yet the team have not fixed up a replacement. Bracknell may have to rely on the good favour of Slough, for the services of Richard Gallace again, as the Jets apparently don't play until Monday. However, if the problem is not resolved soon, then the prospect is of 16 year old Craig Astill starting for the Bees!

A pathetic performance from the Bees today saw them collapse 4-1 to league strugglers, London. After a dire first period by both teams, the Knights took the lead through ex-Moo Gatto, netting past his former team-mate, Richard Gallace, who was deputising for the injured Brian Greer. Bracknell restored parity later in the period, thrpough a powerplay goal by Joe Ferraccioli, but a disgraceful third period display saw them give up three weak goals, the last an empty-netter. A full report will appear here later, when I can be bothered to think about the match again.

Bracknell have had 5 players selected to represent the South in the North vs south All-Stars Match. The players are Chris Brant, Denis Chasse, Matt Cote, PC Drouin and Shayne McCosh.

However, Pierre Allard scored to extend Manchester's lead, and Kelly Askew secured the points towards the end of the match. In a stormy affair, Denis Chasse was given a match for kneeing, whilst Chris Brant squared up to Rick Brebant, and Dale Junkin took on ex-Moomoo Blair Scott. More details will appear here later.

Bracknell lost 4-1 at home to Cardiff tonight. PC Drouin scored Bracknell's only goal, with just 29 seconds left in the second period, but by then Vezio Sacratini and Ivan Matulik had already given Cardiff a three goal lead, and another goal by Mike MacWilliam sealed the points for the Devils.

Bracknell travelled to Nottingham tonight, and lost by the odd goal in three. Sal Manganaro was BRacknell's only scorer, equalising in the 45th minute after Kolesar had given Panthers the lead. However, Leach scored the winner four minutes later, to give Nottingham both points. Brian Greer faced 58 shots, and was Bracknell's John Smith's First Star, whilst Christ Brant was BRacknell's Man of the Match.

I now have more details from the Ayr game. Bracknell started sloppily and went 3-0 down in 12 minutes. However, Shayne McCosh and Colin Ward both pulled goals back in the first period. There was no more scoring until the third period, when Ayr scored the eventual winner, although Ward did score again to give the BEes hope.
