Bracknell took on and beat the Ayr Scottish Eagles, tonight, to finish in fourth spot. It was a close run thing, though. Ayr ran up a two goal-lead early on, but Bracknell pulled them back with two goals in the ninth minute - through Paxton Schulte and Chris Brant. Ayr scored again, however, and Bracknell finished trailing by a goal. A quick goal in the second period by Frank La Scala restored parity again. Into the third, and Ayr again took the lead, but Shayne McCosh soon levelled to ensure Overtime, and Jeff Johnstone knocked home the winner as Bracknell took the lead for the first time in the match.
The result ensures Bees take fourth spot and so meet Champions Manchester, Challenge Cup Finalists Sheffield and bottom club London in the play-offs.

Bracknell lost 5-2 in Newcastle tonight. I have no more details as yet.
