The original Sheltie Standard from the country of origin(Great Britain) did NOT penalize the predominantly white sheltie nor did the US until 1952.
Like Shelties of other more familiar colors, predominantly white shelties excel in all dog sports, agility,herding,obedience, therapy and conformation both National and International organizations including in the United Kennel Club. The UKC in May of 2000 reinstated the CHW(color headed white)
