1. Explain the major key idea from this section.
The one key idea that I learned from this section is the difference between Faith and faith. The Catholic Church defines Faith as, "an intellectual assent to a loving God and his revelation." We learn from this chapter the different sections within religious Faith. In order to have religious Faith, I know I have to take a risk. I know that Faith is not a man-made desire, but a supernatural gift. You have to be blind to follow it. In secular faith, a good definition is, "trust and belief in something or someone." Throughout the course of this section, we looked at many signs of secular faith. In Jim Goodnight, he has faith enough in his employees to provide top-of-the-line schools, health facilities, country clubs, stores, and anything else they need. He treats his employees as if they are his number one asset, above all the money and power that he has as CEO of his company. In secular faith, you have to believe in something at all costs and be willing to secrifice everything for your belief.
2. List and explain some of the two most important ideas from this section.
One ideal that I want to remember is that we place our faith in many different things, but some may be less worthy than others. In the cafeteria, we spend hundreds of dollars of food on ourselves, but give only a couple of dollars to the canned food drive. We invest much time in our friends, sports, and fun, but some cannot even find the time to go to church for one hour? We have to decide what we should put our faith in more, the material possessions and having living in the moment or giving back to the community and your religion?
When we talk about Faith as a risk, most of us don't realize the comfort that we have in the freedom of our religion. But in other parts of the world such as: China, South America, and Africa, freedom of religion is not guaranteed. Many Christians have been persecuted and killed for practicing their religion. When we risk faith, we risk having a relationship with God. We do not know what the future is going to bring. In other parts of the world, people are willing to sacrifice their lives to have a relationship with God.

4. One good question you should keep with you to ponder.
How do I keep my Faith in periods of darkness and doubt?
When I lose my faith in the darkest of times, I can rely on my family and friends to guide me for support. Through my network of support, the Lord, is helping me retain my Faith and guide me back to him.
