 The records show that Jasper G. Rucker, age 23 years, birthplace Monroe
County, Ohio, occupation farmer, was enrolled October 26, 1861 at
Burning Springs, Virginia; was mustered into service December 24, 1861
at Burning Springs, Virginia, as a private of Company B, 11th West
Virginia Infantry; was promoted to corporal, July 18, 1863 and was
honorably discharged as a corporal, November 11, 1864 at Newtown,
Virginia, by reason of expiration of term of service.
