We Thomas Cody and wife Mary Cody James Cody and wife Mary F. Cody have this day Bargain and sold for and in consideration of the sum of sixty five dollars each all the interest claim and titel right and interest and that we have in to a tract of land wherover James Cody now lives on the north side of Clinch River being part of the old Campbell tract joining lands with Wiley Fletcher Gorge W Davis & others for they boundreys of said lands Refernces is hearby had to they titel papers of James Cody, Sr, said interest Being the intrusts that we own in said land deeded us By our grandfather Zekial Cody to have and to hold said land to they said Frederick Cody his heirs and assignees forever And we the said Bargainers Bid ourselves that we have a good Rite to convery said Land and to warrant they titel to they saim witness whearof they said Bargainers have hear unto set their hands seal this they 24 of Dec 1879
