What is the most popular IRC software program (called a Client in IRC terminology) of all? A program called mIRC, which is available for download from http://www.mirc.com. To go directly to the download page, please click here.
Another popular IRC program is PIRCH. PIRCH is an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client for the Microsoft Windows 95/98 Platforms and Windows NT. PIRCH has not been updated since 1998. Another popular IRC program is Visual IRC. Visual IRC is a freeware IRC client, very popular, but not updated since 1997. The program official name is "Visual IRC 97 (32-bit) 1.00". These two programs can be downloaded from http://www.download.com. or http://downloads.zdnet.com
Starchat has its own version of mIRC and PIRCH, which they call StarMIRC and StarPIRCH, which can be found at its website. Please go to http://www.starchat.net. and go download your software directly from the homepage.
For MAC users, there is Ircle, probably the most popular MAC IRC program. It is available for download from http://www.ircle.com.
There are many other IRC programs out there. To find them, go to a site that has plenty of sharware/freeware programs and enter "IRC" as a search term. Sites that have plenty of freeware/shareware and that can searched include http://www.download.com or http://downloads-zdnet.com.com or http://www.tucows.com.
