You know its going to be a bad night in the ER when the Paramedics are using mops to clean out their ambulance and the EMT's are using a garden hose.

April 26th

Team B - Forfeited AGAIN  , enough said and thanks to those that did show up

Team A - WON, yes they won making them 2-2 for the season

Several key plays along with some heads up ball (LOL), and some good hits all around kept the game close and helped the Trauma Junkies team A win 8 to 7.

Ron and Sandy pitched, keeping the other team to just 7 runs on a slew of hits and they were helped by the others that showed up.

Tina, Billy, Ron, Sandy, Shelly, Lloyd, 911 Jill, Scott, Courtney ( borrowed and thanks) and ????  sorry guys don't have your names.

Tina and Ron both turned a catch into a double play at second base, Tina a fly ball in the third and Ron in the fourth

Billy had a couple of great catches in the outfield, along with Courtney ( again, who we borrowed ), and Lloyd.

Team B Lost

Thursday May 3rd

No Recap because no one told me what went on....

Tuesday May 8th

Team A - even though a gallant comeback was made in the 4th, we lost.

Had a great turn out for players and for once didn't have to beg borrow or steal people.

Debbie D, Lloyd, Tina, Jerry, Shelly, Chris, Tricia, Ron, Marie, and John started the game with Billy, Cotton, Jeff and Sandy taking places in relief as the game went on. 911 Jill and Tanya were there for support.

Cotton had two homers and all but pushed poor Marie around the field as he came in for the second one.  Shelly, Ron, Tina, Debbie, Jeff, Lloyd, Marie, Jerry were all hitters with at least a single and many found out that Ron can run like the wind as he got a triple.

Chris and Jeff Pitched.

The 1st inning killed us a 8 runs got in and we failed to get past the 5th batter.

The second was a little better and then the team came alive in the 3rd and 4th as we had two great 3 up/3down innings of fielding.  Billy the future JARHEAD showed his speed and agility as he sprinted to catch 2 long balls, Tina caught one in the air in the in field and Shelly showed how good a catcher she was by catching 3 pop fouls

Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Final
Team A 0 0 4 5 9
The Purple shirts 9 3 0 0 12

Again, an injury free night

May 10th

Team A - No Game

Team B - To save face we will just say that all I heard was that they got their buts whooped, and that there was enough for a team.  The final score was them 22 to teams B's  1 run.  Marie had an RBI single.

Just to say that some of the team wasn't there for some good reasons, Debbie Harrison from EMS earned her Nursing Pin that night from TC and that friends who play on the team (including this web master) went to the ceremony or had others covering jobs so that they could.

No injuries reported

May 15th

No box scores for these games just a job well done by those who played for both A and B teams.

A team won and so did B team.

No Injuries reported though some people stated that they couldn't move well the next day after playing 2 back to back games.  :)

May 17

Team A and B met up in what should have been a rematch from earlier in the season but that game was cancelled due to too much rain.  Anyway there was actually enough women for both teams to have a complete female roster but the men were lacking and even after we begged and borrowed we had one run off before the game started.

Team A roster - Shelly, John, Paula, Jerry, Sandy, Jeff, 911Jill, Joe Cotton, Tanja and Dwight (aka DEWEY from TFD agreed to play).  Dewey was helpful in driving in runs and the team had a good night batting.  We all found out that Shelly can run when she has too but asked for Oxygen to be brought to the next game.  I think that after running some too, a tank should be there.

Team B roster - Crystal, Lloyd, Tina, James, Trish, Angela, Marie, borrowed were Stan and Brad , and the man that disappeared after finding out that he would be playing with team b was Dwayne.  Team B was really thankful to Brad and Stan for helping out.  Stan had 3 out of the park homers and pitched a great game.

Both teams had their fair share of good fielding and batting.

Injury Report - no injuries reported

May 24th

Team B played first tonight at 6:30 and won, again we were short and had to beg borrow and steal a few others that didn't have games.  We found 5 people willing to play, and since it took us a while we pissed off the score keeper and she refused to keep score.  The 1st inning we scored 6 runs, the second we scored 7 and then had one more run come in in the last inning.  Everyone hit and fielded well.  Thanks to those from team B that actually showed up.

Chris pitched the 1st 2 innings with the borrowed Mike pitching the last one

Team B roster - Debbie, Mike, Tina, Chris, Randall and a thanks to these fine people Cari, Joe, Laurie, Mike, and I cant read her name, sorry.

~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*

Team A had its work cut out for it, first just trying to make the roster as usual and then beating the number one team Guns and Hoses.  We had to pick up one player and then settled into the task of winning.

We had to bat first and were able to bring in 2 runs and held G&H to 2 runs.  The next inning we batted in a few more keeping a small lead heading into the 3rd.  the 3rd we came alive and were able to get several runs ahead but werent able to run out the clock.  SO we got to bat once more bringing in the last of our offense.  4 runs ahead we took the field in a try to hold the best batting team, and hold we did.  Chris took over for Russ Jones and gave the whole team a scare when the third batter hit a homer bringing 3 with one out.  The next batter went down and then the 6th got on base. And the trauma Gods went our way and we got the 7th batter out.

The roster for this game - Debbie D, Mike O, Tina, Chris, Marie, Randall, John, Sandy, Russ ( Dr J ) Jones, Lloyd, and a special thanks to Cari Deleon  for playing with us again.

Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th final
Team A 1 6 3 2 12
Guns and Hoses 2 2 4 3 11

Injury Report for the night - Mike has a sore shoulder from a collision at home in the 1st game and Tina has a minor headache from colliding with an elbow that belonged to the 3rd baseman as she scooted into third in the 1st game too.

May 29th The last game of the season

And how appropriate that it was Team A vs. Team B in a rematch

As usual we were short on members and had to borrow one so that each team had enough to play

Team A's line up - Shelly, Chris, Jill, Jerry, Cotton, Sandy,

Team B's line up - Debbie and Richard Harrison, Debbie D., Lloyd, Tina, Angela, James, and a special thanks to

It should be noted that Team A played with 9 players a female short causing them to automatically have a out there and Team B played with only 8 people, a regular infield and just 2 outfielders - Lloyd and Angela, who both did as best they could covering that much space.

The B took the field first with Richard pitching, the poor man just thought that he was going to watch the game. A few hits and team A was out quick with Team B excited over keeping them at zero.  Of Course Team A did the same and the first inning was over with team B leading by 1.

Second started with a repeat quick up and out for A Team, Team B got hot and soon found themselves ahead by 5.

The third inning was Team A's hot one as they ran up and ahead leading Team B as they took the field.  But Team B wasn't behind for long as the hot bats came up and team B ended the inning ahead 11 to 5.

With time called not long after Team A came up to bat in the 4th, team A gave a valiant try to catch up and take the lead but were stopped one short. Losing to Team B 11 to 10 giving Team B a 2 - 0 record against Team A.

Noted hitters this game and in no particular team order was Tina with a bases loaded triple, Cotton belting his usual 2 to the out field, an outfield of just two, Jerry had a double called on him that should have been more if his ball hadn't rolled out of the park. Lloyd and Richard smacked a few, some were caught some weren't. :)

Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Final
A 0 1 5 4 10
B 1 4 6 DNB 11

DNB - Did not bat

No Injuries reported except prior wounds and pulled muscles by those of us whose bodies now hate us for playing in the first place.  :)

May 30th

Disclaimer: The opinion on who should and shouldn't play is mine, TC Amlin's and not a view of the team as a whole even though some may have similar thoughts..... I just get to express mine here because I am the one putting this thing out there.

There will be a team meeting sometime this week to discuss the SUMMER Team.

Team Name will be discussed along with when everybody will be able to play if your job entails shift work.  There will be no forfeits and those who don't show up will not be asked to play again.

It isn't fair to the team.

Please Please email me with if you plan on playing

CODEDRIVER@AOL.COM

So far the team shirt will be black, new team names are being taken right now.

It should also be noted that save the season beginning injuries that the team suffered no life threatening job taking off kinda stuff like we did last year.

End of season per the standings at the field

Team A was 5 and 6

Team B was 4 and 7

We caused Guns and Hoses to be 8 and 2
