My Children

Stephanie Joan Reibel

Stephanie arrived at 7:45 in the morning on Tuesday, June 1,1993. She weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 20&1/4" long. She had brunette hair and blue eyes.

We first brought her home on Thursday, June 3, 1993.

She was a happy little girl who barely ever cried, only whenever she needed something.

She never lived long enough for her first Christmas or even her first birthday. However, she was with us long enough for her older sister, daddy and I to hear her laugh, cry and even to see her smile.

Her daddy and sister attended to her every need at first. As I had a hard time moving around due to the surgery I had delivering her. Her daddy would spend his entire time holding and caring for her while big sister watched over. This love between father and daughters was a very deep bond.

Just two months and five days after her birth she passed away due to S.I.D.S. (sudden infant death syndrome)on August 6, 1993. I guess the good lord saw it fit that she was better in his care than in ours.

She is now buried in Brookings, Oregon at Ward Memorial Cemetary. Where I visit her whenever I go back to the town where she left her little home on earth.

You can see more pictures of Stephanie at the beginning of my homepage. It is titled "My Angel Stephanie".

On the page with Stephanie's pictures I have applied a link that I suggest seeing if you would like to add your childs picture who is no longer with you. Or the story of his or her life. It is titled S.I.D.S Families. Enjoy!

Here is what her daddy had to say about her.

Stephanie Joan was the light of my life. In 1993 my life was changed by her. I believe she was too perfect for this world and God took her home. I would really suggest if you have had a tragedy like this that you talk to someone about it. I know this, because I didn't talk to anyone and it has taken several years for me to heal. It never goes away, you just get used to it, I guess.

I now have a wife, two beautiful girls and a baby boy due April 23, 2000. On the page with Stephanie's pictures there is a web address that I recommend to anyone who has lost a baby. Check it out they are always coming out with more studies and research. They have a great chat room were you can talk to people in our same circumstances.

Thank you. Michael Jerry Reibel Jr.

Tiffany Marie

Tiffany arrived at 6:40 in the morning on Thursday, June 21,1990. She weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 19&1/2" long. She had brunette hair and blue eyes.

She is now 9 years old, in the fourth grade and does excellent in school. She is on the honor roll and has a perfect attendance record.

Her favorite past times are listening to music, cheerleading, dancing, spending time with her parents and of course chatting on the phone with her best friends.

She lives a healthy active life like most children. As her mother, I tend to brag about all that she does. This precious girl with her life so strong makes me appreciate all that she has to give. Even when she seems to think that she can conquer the world all by herself.

She and I spend a lot of time together. I try to teach her the differences between right from wrong and good and bad. Hoping that she will not grow up and find herself doing any of the things that all of us parents worry about. But, only in time will she prove herself.

I can only hope that my daughter will grow to be a beautiful woman and respect the life that she is given.

Today on Tuesday, May 16, 2000 Tiffany brought home a letter from school. It was a letter from our state representative, golden state seal and all, congratulating her for being on the honor roll. Here is what it said...

Tiffany Hathaway
Canyonville School

Dear Tiffany,

Congratulations on making the honor roll at Canyonville School!

Your hard work and dedication are paying off! It's not an easy task to find time for all that is expected of you and still focus on homework and grades.

Be proud of your accomplishments. I wish you continued success and a great summer vacation!

Sincerely,
(her personal signature here)

It's times like this that make me very proud of all that she can do when she puts her mind to it. Also, makes me proud to say... That's my baby!

You can see more pictures of her on her page at the beginning of my homepage under her link titled "My Rose Tiffany". I will be updating her pictures throughout the years as she grows.
