My Retail Experiences
Before I attend the professional make-up artist diploma program at COSMOPROF Make-up School, I worked many years in the retail marketing environment. Since 1992, I joined Pokka Food Singapore Pte Ltd as an Assistance Supervisor; till November 2000, I resigned as a Retail Executive of Saresco Traveller Pte Ltd. These are the memories and friends of my previous works.
From 1992 to 1996 : Pokka Food Singapore Pte Ltd
During these 4 years with Pokka Food, I set up and supervised Rive Gauge cake counter in Daimaru Shopping and Southern Cross Cafe in Jurong Bird Park. The most memorable person is the ex-General Manager of Pokka Food, Mr Endoh. He had retired and now open a small eating house in Japan. The picture above is taken outside the Southern Cross Cafe. From the left a part-timer (I forgotten his name), Serene (Cashier), Mr Obayashi (Current GM, he was then a Operation Manager), me, Siti (Cashier).
From 1996 to 2000 : BP Pasir Panjang
I had franchised a BP service station along Pasir Panjang Road during these 4 years. It was a very run down station when I took over. BP Singapore did a re-build on the station, remove the workshop, extend the area of salesroom and installed an auto car wash machine. This picture was taken on January 1997, during the setting up of the new station before operation. From the left Julia Manson (ex-Territory Manager), Celine (Part-timer), me, Irene (Co-ordinator), Pump Attendant (I forgotten his name).
From June 2000 to November 2000 : Saresco Traveller Pte Ltd
I did not work very long with Saresco Traveller. These are the Shop Supervisors and colleagues taken in the office. My first superior, Ms Jacqueline Cheung is a American born Chinese from California praised me a lots, she even write a very good testimony to me before she left. She has quit Seresco, now teaching in one of the polytechnic in Singapore. In Seresco, I have seen the most positive and confident Shop Supervisors. They are very pro-active in selling and able to meet all sales targets given to them.
