When Alex returned to Roswell in Season 3 in the episode Significant Others it was a great feeling for many Roswell viewers. Alex was a great character in Season 1 and Season 2 and he has always held a special place in all of our hearts. So we were all very happy when Alex turned up again as a figment of Isabel's imagination to help her deal with her problems. When he was still alive in the show, he was always someone the other characters could depend on to help them, and this is how Isabel remembers him. Isabel and Alex at one time had a relationship going that could have been magnificent, unfortunately it was cut short because Tess killed Alex. Alex first returned to Roswell as a ghost (created by Isabel's imagination) in the Second Season in episode
She brought him back in that episode so she could tell him how she really felt for him. In Significant Others she broguht hi back to help her with her feelings for Jesse Ramirez and their relationship. Isabel felt that Jesse was going to propose to her, and she was unsure of weither she should accept or not. AThroughout the episode Alex follows Isabel through her daily life to see what her relationship with Jesse is like. You can tell in some parts that it is hard for him to deal with the fact that Isabel is with another man (although he is just part of her imagination). In the end of the episode, when Jesse does propose to Isabel, Alex encourages her and gives her the support that she needs. She shows her gratitude with a statememtn that she is going to name her first child after him. We see Alex fade away at the end of the episode because he has done what he came to do, and Isabel is satisfied now. It was a very touching episode and it was great to see the interaction between Alex and Isabel. They would have been a great couple if Tess had not killed Alex. Unforunately we wll never be able to see this, but it still a great feeling to see Alex return. |
