Army Operation in Wana

In a world where the word “terrorist” can mean simply anyone who is against the US and its operations in Iraq, Palestine, Nepal.

Anyone who refuses to sit back and watch while they “lawfully” take action against these areas and peoples, just about anybody can be captured, tortured or simply killed in the name of the War Against Terror. The army has not presented any evidence whatsoever to justify the attack in South Waziristan Wana. Bombing a truck full of evacuees to eliminate the possibility of a single terrorist among them demonstrates the callous disregard for life on the part of the Pakistani army. The Parliament and the people of Pakistan have been kept completely in the dark. And the entire region has become a war zone with mostly innocent people paying the price for the (mis) conduct of the Pakistani army. The lives of our people are not more than the life of a fly or an insect.

 The army has sacrificed our national sovereignty to the whims of US imperialism. Today we are all terrorists because we are all opposed to US imperialism. The President may continue to receive praise and popularity abroad, while our country is given the rather discomforting title of the US’s major non-NATO ally, and unpopularity and distrust at home is increasing everyday.

 In light of these facts, the CMKP will be organizing a mass demonstration in the NWFP against US imperialism. The date and location will be disclosed later.
