Faith
Faith is a very important aspect of everyone’s lives. Faith is having trust in someone or something, when you do not know for sure what the outcome will be. Faith is a trust, which can be based on past experience or on just a belief in a person. Faith is being helpless and trusting that a person will be there for you. In order to have faith, you must also have doubt, or else you know what the result of the situation will be and faith is not necessary.
There are many ways faith can be expressed. One of the most important ways is through faith decisions. Most teenagers make faith decisions almost every day of their life; Whether or not to trust my parents when they tell them stuff or whether or not to trust their friends and teachers.
Many people have faith in other people and they trust them, however faith between people is almost never absolute. This means that even though you trust someone most of the time, there will always be periods of doubt. Even Peter, one of Jesus’ closest disciples doubted Jesus a few times, like when he began to walk on water then he realized what he was doing and he fell, and when he denied Jesus three times when a persecutor recognized him as a disciple. Even Jesus didn’t have absolute faith in God; In the Garden of Gesemite he was fearful and he doubted the decision to be crucified.
Without faith in anything or anyone you would live in a world where you are constantly paranoid. People need to be able to rely on others to help them every once in a while.
